Uzbek League 1992
The 1992 Uzbek League season was the 1st edition of top level football in Uzbekistan since independence from the Soviet Union in 1992. 17 teams took part in the championship which was won by both Pakhtakor Tashkent and Neftchi Farg'ona whom finished the championship on 51 points and therefore shared the first ever Uzbek League title. Pakhtakor Tashkent were also put forward to enter the first Commonwealth of Independent States Cup as league champions for the 1993 campaign. Uzbekistan Super League ( uz, O'zbekiston Superligasi), also called Coca-Cola Uzbekistan Super League due to sponsorship reasons ( uz, Coca-Cola O'zbekiston Superligasi / Coca-Cola Ўзбекистон Суперлигаси), is the top division of professional football in Uzbekistan. It is operated under the auspices of the Uzbekistan Professional Football League and Uzbekistan Football Association. It was founded in 1992 and currently played with 14 teams. Traktor Tashkent was an Uzbekistani football club based in Tashkent. They used to play in the top division in Uzbekistani football but were dissolved in 2007. Hamza ( ar, همزة ') () is a letter in the Arabic alphabet, representing the glottal stop . Hamza is not one of the 28 "full" letters and owes its existence to historical inconsistencies in the standard writing system. It is derived from the Arabic letter ''ʿAyn'' (). In the Phoenician and Aramaic alphabets, from which the Arabic alphabet is descended, the glottal stop was expressed by '' alif'' (), continued by ''Alif'' ( ) in the Arabic alphabet. Football Club Andijan, also known as FC Andijan, is an Uzbek football club based in Andijan. The club plays in Uzbekistan Super League. History The club was formed 1964 under the name ''Spartak''. In 1969 the club was renamed ''Andijanez''. After 1990 the club played in Uzbek League as ''Navruz Andijan''. Since 1997 the club has played as ''FK Andijan''. In 1964–70, 1973–74 and 1986–91 the club played in Soviet League championships. On 22 August 2012 club hired Azamat Abduraimov as head coach to help Andijan remain in the top division, however the club was relegated to the Uzbekistan First League. Furqat Esanbaev
Zokirjon Xolmuhammad oʻgʻli ( uz, Zokirjon Xolmuhammad oʻgʻli, Зокиржон Ҳолмуҳаммад ўғли) (1859–1909), better known by his pen name Furqat, was an Uzbek author, poet, and political activist. He had a major influence on the development of modern Uzbek literature. He wrote one of the earliest pamphlets and satirical articles in Uzbek. Furqat, like may other writers of the tsarist colonial period, was forced to praise the Russian Empire and its culture in his work. When he started to write poems that were critical of the cruelty of Russian rule, he was exiled to Chinese Turkestan. Life Zokirjon Xolmuhammad oʻgʻli was born in 1859 in Kokand. He was sent to a madrasa at the age of fourteen. At the madrasa, Xolmuhammad oʻgʻli learned Arabic and Persian and became interested in Oriental literature. Rustam Rakhmonovich Abdullaev (russian: Рустам Рахмонович Абдуллаев; born 1 January 1971) is a former footballer and football coach. He is a former member of the Uzbekistan national team. He recently worked as head coach of Kokand 1912. Playing career In 1992, he played for Temiryo'lchi Qo'qon and became 2nd best goalscorer of Oliy League after Valeriy Kechinov. The 1993 Commonwealth of Independent States Cup was the first edition of the competition between the champions of former republics of Soviet Union. It was won by Spartak Moscow who defeated Belarusian side Belarus Minsk in the final.
