Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2015
Finland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Aina mun pitää" written and performed by the band Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät. The Finnish broadcaster Yleisradio (Yle) organised the national final ''Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2015'' in order to select the Finnish entry for the 2015 contest in Vienna, Austria. 18 entries were selected to compete in the national final, which consisted of three semi-finals and a final, taking place in February 2015. Six entries competed in each semi-final and the top three from each semi-final, as selected solely by a public vote, advanced to the final. Nine entries competed in the final on 28 February where the combination of votes from eight jury groups representing different factions of Finnish society and votes from the public selected "Aina mun pitää" performed by Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät as the winner. Finland was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 19 May 2015. ...

Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät
Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät (; ; PKN) were a Finnish punk rock band, formed in 2009 in a charity workshop for adults with developmental disabilities. They are the main focus of the 2012 Finnish documentary film '' The Punk Syndrome''. In 2015, they qualified for the finals of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, which they later won; they represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 but got knocked out in the semi-final. The group disbanded in December 2016 when guitarist Pertti Kurikka turned 60 years old and retired from playing punk rock. History Formation (2004–2012) Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät began in a workshop run by Lyhty, a charity for adults with developmental disabilities. In 2004, Pertti Kurikka, the future guitarist of the band, met organizer Kalle Pajamaa of Lyhty. Finland In The Eurovision Song Contest 2002
Finland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the song " Addicted to You" written by Maki Kolehmainen, Janina Frostell and Tracy Lipp. The song was performed by Laura. The Finnish broadcaster Yleisradio (Yle) returned to the Eurovision Song Contest after a one-year absence following their relegation from 2001 as one of the bottom six countries in the 2000 contest. Yle organised the national final ''Euroviisut 2002'' in order to select the Finnish entry for the 2002 contest in Tallinn, Estonia. Twelve entries were selected to compete in the national final on 26 January 2002 where votes from six regional juries first selected the top six to advance to a second round. In the second round, votes from the public selected "Addicted to You" performed by Laura as the winner with 70,580 votes. Virve Hannele "Vicky" Rosti (born 10 November 1958, Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish singer of popular music. Her most famous songs include "Kun Chicago kuoli" (the debut single from 1975, a Finnish language cover version of " The Night Chicago Died" by Paper Lace), "Tuolta saapuu Charlie Brown" ("Charlie Brown" by Benito di Paula), "Menolippu" (" One Way Ticket"), "Oon voimissain" ("I Will Survive"), "Tunnen sen täysillä taas" ("Total Eclipse of the Heart"), "Sata salamaa" (''One hundred lightnings'') and " Jolene". Finland was present at the Eurovision Song Contest 1987, held in Brussels, Belgium. Before Eurovision National final The Finnish national final to select their entry was held on 21 February 1987 at the Yle's Studios in Helsinki. Hosting the final were two previous Finnish Eurovision entrants, Laila Halme and Lasse Mårtenson. For the first time in three years, a national postcard poll decided the winner. The winning entry was "Sata salamaa", performed by Virve Rosti and composed by Petri Laaksonen and Veli-Pekka Lehto. At Eurovision Rosti performed eighteenth on the night of the contest, following Cyprus and preceding Denmark. While at Brussels, she was credited as "Vicky Rosti" and performed with the band Boulevard, neither of which she did at the national final. At the close of the voting it had received 32 points, placing 15th in a record-setting field of 22 competing countries. Järjestyshäiriö was a Finnish pop rock band, founded in 1997 in the town of Jyväskylä by members Juho Markkanen, Mikko Manninen, and Juha Ryhänen, with Matti Keränen and Sirja Minkovitsch joining later on in the groups lifetime. Kimmo Sakari Blom (31 January 1970 – August 2022) was a Finnish singer and stage artist, known for his work in several rock and metal bands such as Urban Tale, Boys of the Band, and Heartplay. Regina (Finnish Band)
Regina was a Finnish synth-pop band, which was active during 2004–2017. In 2004, then couple Mikko Pykäri and Iisa Pajula uploaded a few tracks to the internet for free. Soon after, they were asked to play live and recruited drummer Mikko Rissasen to the band. The new band signed a record deal with the label Next Big Thing immediately after their first live show.
