Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu
(; abbreviated UMK; en, italics=yes, Contest for New Music) is an annual music contest organised by the Finnish public broadcaster Yle. UMK began in 2012 as the new format for the Eurovision Song Contest, replacing the original Finnish Eurovision selection ''Suomen euroviisukarsinta'' which had been held since 1961. Aksel Kankaanranta (born 28 January 1998) is a Finnish singer. He was due to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam with the song " Looking Back", before the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sebastian Rejman (born 13 January 1978) is a Finnish singer, actor, and television host. He is the singer and guitarist of the band The Giant Leap. While Giant Leap has been on hiatus, Rejman founded a new band called Sebastian & The 4th Line Band. He represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 along with Darude. Toni-Ville Henrik Virtanen (; born July 17, 1975), better known by his stage name Darude (), is a Finnish DJ and record producer from Eura, Satakunta. His music is characterised by its progressive/uplifting style. He started making music in 1995 and released the platinum-selling hit single "Sandstorm" in late 1999. Saara Sofia Aalto (born 2 May 1987) is a Finnish singer, songwriter, and voice actress. In 2012 she came second in the first season of ''The Voice of Finland''.
