Lois Utz (née Cook) (January 4, 1932 – November 12, 1986; Paterson, New Jersey) was an American children's book author, illustrator, poet, and artist. For most of her life, Utz resided in Little Falls, New Jersey. She received her Associate degree in Fine Arts from the Art Students League of New York. Utz wrote a poetry column for the ''Paterson Morning Call'' and published in literary anthologies nationally. In 1957, she married Donald Utz, and in 1962 they had a daughter, Heidi. He specializes in medievalism, medieval studies, and served as President of the International Society for the Study of Medievalism (2009–2020). Stanley Frederick Utz
Stanley Frederick Utz (17 May 1898 - 6 May 1974) was an Australian businessman and official of the Australian Liberal Party. Hailing from Sydney with German ancestry, Utz served in the Australian Imperial Force for the closing months of the First World War before being discharged in 1919 to follow in his father's footsteps in the milling industry. He became manager of MacRae Knitting Mills Ltd prior to becoming a stockbroker in 1927. Married in 1935 to Janet Cuthbertson Saxton, Utz then began to diversify into tin mining in Malaya and Thailand as well as becoming managing director of several businesses and helping found International Pacific Corporation Ltd. He was widowed in 1952, and became treasurer to the Australian Liberal Party in 1956. He served the party until 1962, raising substantial funds. __NOTOC__ Willibald Utz (20 January 1893 – 20 April 1954) was a German general during World War II who commanded several divisions. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. Life and career Willibald Utz was born in Furth im Wald in Bavaria on 20 January 1893. In 1913, at the age of 20, he entered the Bavarian Army as an ensign, and by September 1914 he had been commissioned lieutenant. After serving in World War I he joined the inter-war Reichswehr. By the outbreak of World War II in 1939 he was commander of the 100th (mountain) ''(Gebirgsjäger)'' Regiment, and was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross for his leadership of this regiment during the invasion of Crete during May and June 1941. Irwin Charles "Utz" Uteritz (July 4, 1899 – December 14, 1963) was an American athlete and coach. He played American football and baseball for the University of Michigan from 1921 to 1923. At 140 pounds, he was one of the lightest quarterbacks ever to start for a major college program. Despite his size, Michigan football coach Fielding H. Yost called him "the best field general I ever had." Uteritz led Michigan to back-to-back undefeated seasons and a national championship in 1923.
