''Utopía'' is the fourth studio album by American singer Romeo Santos, released on April 5, 2019 by Sony Music Latin. The album was supported by the successful singles: " Inmortal" by Aventura, "La Demanda" with Raulín Rodríguez, "Payasos" with Frank Reyes, "Canalla" with El Chaval de la Bachata, "Millonario" with Elvis Martínez, "Me Quedo" with Zacarías Ferreira, "Ileso" with Teodoro Reyes, "Amor Enterrado" with Joe Veras, "El Beso Que No Le Di" with Kiko Rodríguez, "Años Luz" with Monchy & Alexandra and "Los Últimos" with Luis Vargas. Romeo Santos
Anthony "Romeo" Santos (born July 21, 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and actor who is best known as the frontman and lead vocalist of the bachata group Aventura. In 2002, the song " Obsesión" reached number one in Italy for 16 consecutive weeks. He released several albums with Aventura before the group broke up. Since then, Santos has embarked on a solo career which has spawned seven number one songs on the Hot Latin Songs chart and seventeen number ones on the Tropical Songs chart. Over his career, he sold over 40 million albums and over 100 million singles. Early life Santos was born in 1981 in the Bronx, New York City to a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother. Luis Vargas (musician)
Luis Rafael Valdez Vargas (born 23 May 1961) is a Dominican musician and singer. He became involved in popular music after meeting a local musician who taught him how to play guitar. Early life Vargas was born in 1961 in Las Matas de Santa Cruz in the Monte Cristi province. He grew up in a poor household. He became involved in bachata music after meeting a local musician who taught him how to play guitar. He developed his style with influences from Blas Durán and Eladio Romero Santos. Career Vargas entered onto the bachata scene in the early 1980s. He was one of the first bachata artists to go into the Latin mainstream. Vargas is credited as the first bachatero to use guitar pedals, who he got the idea from bachata sound engineer Rafael Montilla. Montilla added a chorus pedal to Vargas guitar while recording his album El Maiz in 1991. Monchy & Alexandra were a bachata musical group from the Dominican Republic. They sang together as a duo beginning in 1998. Their first big hit was " Hoja en Blanco", which they released in 1999. In the "Intro" of this album, Anthony "Romeo" Santos states that this could possibly be their last album; his prediction came true in July 2011 when the group publicly confirmed it was breaking up for good. ''The Last'' became the top selling Latin album of 2009 and 2010. The Last spent 23 weeks at number one in the Latin Billboard chart. Inmortal Tour is a reunion world tour by the bachata group Aventura. The name of the tour references their reunion hit and lead single by the main singer Romeo Santos, " Inmortal". It was their first tour in 10 years since The Last Tour and their first reunion concerts since the 2016 concerts in the United Palace. The tour was commercially successful and sold out in just minutes. Initially only seven dates were announced but due to high demand more shows were added. The first 14 shows in the United States earned US$23.1 million from 176,931 tickets sold and ''Billboard'' predicted that the North American leg could reach $50 million in ticket sales. Antony Santos a.k.a. El Mayimbe, now Anthony Santos, (born 5 May 1967) is a Dominican musician and singer. He is one of the top-selling Bachata artists of all time. He is known as one of the pioneers of modern Bachata in the early 1990s with his role in redefining the genre to include romantic lyrics, poppy guitar licks, and implementation of new instruments such as the piano and saxophone.
