Utley, West Yorkshire
Utley is a village that forms a suburb of the town of Keighley within the county of West Yorkshire, England, approximately from the town centre. History In 1086 the Craven section of the Domesday Book lists ''Utelaia'' as owned by the Viking Vilts. He was taxed on about of arable ploughland here. He also owned Newsholme but shared Oakworth with Gamel Bern. It has been suggested that the name means oat field or outfield (of Keighley) or that it was a meadow (Ley) owned by Utta. Utley was a small collection of buildings when the Keighley to Skipton Turnpike opened up in the early 18th century. The road became the dividing line between Low and High Utley and in the 1930s, the road became the A629 road. The A629 was downgraded into the B6265 when the A629 Kildwick to Beechcliffe bypass was opened in August 1988. In 2001 the area had a population of 5,000 which had risen to 5,500 by the 2011 census. Utley, Texas
Utley ( ) is an unincorporated community in Bastrop County, Texas, United States. According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had a population of 50 in 2000. It is located within the Greater Austin metropolitan area. History Utley was founded by James Harvey Wilbarger in the early 1850s as the site of a commissary and trading post for plantations in the community. Wilbarger named it for his wife, which was her maiden name. A post office was established at Utley in 1892 and remained in operation until 1922. It reopened that next year. There were two general stores in the community in 1896. Its population was 25 in 1914 but only had one general store. It jumped to 250 from the 1930s to the 1940s, which plunged to 30 at the end of the decade, which remained at that number through 1990 and grew to 50 in 2000 after being at that number in the 1960s. Green Lake is a town in Green Lake County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,258 at the 2000 census. The town is located on the south side of Green Lake, with the city of Green Lake on the north side. The unincorporated communities of Forest Glen Beach, Greenwyck, Indian Hills, Sandstone Bluff, Spring Grove, Tuleta Hills, and Utley are located in the town.
