Utilia Lenkiewitz
Utilia Lenkiewitz (née Utilia van Mander) (1711 – September 23, 1770) was a Danish actress, one of the first of her profession from Denmark, and a member of the pioneer-troupe of the Royal Danish Theatre. Life and career Born the child of the painter Karel van Mander, she was a part of one of the two native theatre troupes created when public theatrical activity became legal in Denmark in 1746, following a ban. The organist Carl August Thielo was the first to be given a theatre privilege, and he opened a theatre at Store Kongensgade in 1747; the same year, Julius Henrik von Qvoten opened one which played in both Danish and German, and Lenkiewitz is believed to have been a part of the Qvoten-troupe. The actors from the troupes of these temporary theatres were then employed as staff when the Royal Danish Theatre was opened in 1748, with Thielo as director. Royal Danish Theatre
The Royal Danish Theatre (RDT, Danish: ') is both the national Danish performing arts institution and a name used to refer to its old purpose-built venue from 1874 located on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen. The theatre was founded in 1748, first serving as the theatre of the king, and then as the theatre of the country. Karel van Mander (I) or Carel van Mander I (May 1548 – 2 September 1606) was a Flemish painter, poet, art historian and art theoretician, who established himself in the Dutch Republic in the latter part of his life. He is mainly remembered as a biographer of Early Netherlandish painters and Northern Renaissance artists in his ''Schilder-boeck''. Carl August Thielo
Carl August Thielo (February 7, 1707 – December 3, 1763) was a Danish composer. theatre entrepreneur, music teacher, organist from Saxony. He spent most of his life in Copenhagen from the 1720s onwards and founded the first opera house there in 1746. A student of Johann Gottfried Walther, he was the author of a Danish treatise, ''Tanker og Regler fra Grunden af om Musiken'', published in 1746. Thielo was also the German court organist under Christian VI. He was the father of Caroline Thielo. Anna Dorothea Lund (died 29 October 1759) was a Danish stage actress. She belonged to the pioneer generation of actors at the Royal Danish Theatre, and was one of the leading members there for a decade after its foundation. Caroline Amalie Thielo (1 March 1735 – 5 February 1754) was a Danish actress, one of her country's first professional native female actors, and said to be the first actress ever employed at the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen. She was very popular in the mid 18th century, and was also employed as a translator of plays for the theatre.
