Ute Enzenauer
Ute Enzenauer (born 18 January 1965) is a former West German road racing cyclist active from 1981 to 1987. Born in Ludwigshafen-Friesenheim, Rheinland-Pfalz, Enzenauer was selected from school at age 9 as a cyclist. She won the West German National Championships in 1979 and 1980. In 1981 she became the youngest World Champion ever, winning Women's World Road Championships at age 16. She raced the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California finishing 8th. Ute Frevert (born 10 June 1954 in Schötmar, Bad Salzuflen, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German historian. She is a specialist in modern and contemporary German history, as well as social and gender history. In January 2008, she was appointed managing director of the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and director of the Institute's Center for History of Emotions in Berlin. Education From 1971 to 1977, Ute Frevert studied History and Social Sciences at the Universities of Münster and at London School of Economics and Political Science. She received her PhD from the University of Bielefeld in 1982 and was habilitated in 1989. Career and research Frevert worked at several research institutions. Ute Geweniger (later Strauß, born 24 February 1964) is a former breaststroke and medley swimmer who was a leading member of the East German swimming team in the 1980s. She won two Olympic gold medals, in the 100 m breaststroke and 4×100 m medley relay at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, and set seven individual and two relay world records. Ute Thimm, née Finger (born 10 July 1958 in Bochum) is a German athlete who competed mainly in the 400 metres. She competed for West Germany in the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, United States in the 4 x 400 metres where she won the bronze medal with her teammates Heike Schulte-Mattler, Heide-Elke Gaugel and Gaby Bußmann.
