Usher Morgan (born May 23, 1985) is an Israeli screenwriter, film director, producer, author and entrepreneur based in New York City. He is best known as the writer, director, and producer of films such as ''Prego'' and '' Pickings''. Biography Usher Morgan was born in Israel. He immigrated to the United States in his early twenties. Business and media career He founded companies in the publishing, real estate and film production industries. After experimenting with film production and distribution, Morgan began showing interest in producing and directing his own films. His first film was a documentary entitled The Thought Exchange, starring David Friedman and Lucie Arnaz, it was released in New York City in 2012. Morgan's first narrative directorial debut, a comedy short film entitled Prego was written with the help of Seinfeld writer Andy Cowan. Yokneam Illit
Yokneam Illit ( he, יָקְנְעָם עילית), also ''Yoqne'am Illit'' and ''Jokneam Illit'', is a city in northern Israel. It is located in a hilly region of the lower Galilee at the base of the Carmel Mountains, and overlooks the Jezreel Valley. It is from Haifa and from Tel Aviv. Yokneam is known as Israel's " Startup Village," because its high-tech hub is surrounded by forest and small communities. ''Crowned'' is an American comedy web series created by Josh Bednarsky and his wife Brianne Sanborn, who also wrote, directed and star in the episodes. The show follows Macie Edwards, an unemployed actress who, in a desperate effort to keep her apartment and pay her cat's medical bills takes a job as a Party Princess in North Hollywood, CA. The series depicts the everyday routine of party princesses in the fictional Crowned Entertainment Company. Most of the show follows a standard narrative style but often cuts to interviews with the employees of the fictional corporation to simulate the look of a documentary. Premiere and recognition The first episode premiered at a private event in Los Angeles, CA. The show became available on YouTube and the show's website on August 15, 2013, with some episodes surpassing 100,000 views. The show's 2nd season has yet to be announced. Katie Vincent is an American film actress, screenwriter, producer, singer / songwriter based in New York City, best known for her roles in ''Pickings (film), Pickings'' and ''Prego (film), Prego''. Personal life and career Katie Vincent grew up in Mansfield, Massachusetts. She attended New York University Tisch School of the Arts where she earned her BFA in drama. The Manhattan Film Festival (MFF) is an annual film festival. It was founded in 2006 by filmmakers Philip J. Nelson and Jose Ruiz Jr. MFF is currently operated by Mr. Nelson and Mr. Ruiz, along with a team of filmmakers, journalists, and exhibitors. It was founded as the Independent Features Film Festival. MFF is an annual event that has been held at prominent venues such as Symphony Space, Quad Cinema, and the Academy Theater at Lighthouse.
