Tacuarembó ( Guarani: ''Takuarembo'', literally: "Bamboo shoot") is the capital city of the Tacuarembó Department in north-central Uruguay. Club Sportivo Miramar Misiones, usually known simply as Miramar Misiones is a Uruguayan football club based in Montevideo. The club was formed from the merger of two clubs: Miramar (founded on October 17, 1915) and Misiones (founded on March 26, 1906), in June 1980. As part of the merger, the new strip for the new club was a mixture of those of the previous two clubs. The home strip (white and black) is the old Miramar strip, and the away strip was the one used by Misiones. What made this merger notable was that Miramar and Misiones were local derby rivals, having both originated in the same neighbourhood of Montevideo. La Luz Fútbol Club (often called La Luz) is a professional Uruguayan football club from Aires Puros, Montevideo, who currently play in the Uruguayan Segunda División. History A group of friends by the names, Luis Rivero, Luis Enrico, and Jose Ruecco, were at a bar in the Aires Puros barrio of Montevideo, when they had an idea of founding a new football club. However, they struggled to find a name for the new club. The bar they were in was one of the few buildings in the area that had electricity by that time, and this is where the name "La Luz" came from. Segunda División Profesional is the second division of professional football in Uruguay, established in 1942. The league is sometimes referred to as ''Primera B''. Segunda División was first held in 1942 to replace amateur Divisional Intermedia, establishing a professional league for lower divisions in Uruguay. Club Atlético Basáñez is a football and boxing club from Montevideo in Uruguay founded in 1920. They currently play in the Second Amateur Division, the third and last tier of the Uruguayan championship.
