Uplands Elementary School (Langley)
School District 35 Langley is a school district in British Columbia. This includes the municipalities of Langley Township and Langley City. History The Langley School District is one of the earliest school districts in British Columbia. It was established on April 30, 1871 prior to British Columbia becoming part of Canada. The first teacher appointed to the Langley School board by the Province of British Columbia was Mr. William W. Gibbs on June 21, 1872. Anglophone East School District is a Canadian school district in South-East New Brunswick. The district is an Anglophone district operating 39 public schools from grades Kindergarten to 12 in Albert and Westmorland counties. The name of the school district was changed from School District 2 in July 2012. Enrollment for 2020-2021 is at approximately 16,145 students and 2,500 staff. The International School of Penang (Uplands), commonly known as Uplands School or simply Uplands by its members (called ''Uplanders''), is one of the International Schools in Penang, Malaysia. Founded in 1955, it was first situated on Penang Hill, moving to Gurney Drive and finally Batu Ferringhi in 2006. Uplands School is a multicultural, multiracial and multinational community whose aim is to promote the School Motto: "''Respect for Self. Respect for Others''". Overview Uplands occupies a five-and-a-half-acre site near to the sea in the tourist area of Batu Ferringhi, approximately eleven kilometres from George Town. Uplands School, Poole
Uplands School was a co-educational independent school based in the coastal town of Poole, Dorset on the south coast of England. It consisted of a junior school (ages 2–11) and a senior school (ages 11–16). In 2009, the school merged with Wentworth College. The merger of the two schools formed Bournemouth Collegiate School whose principal is Russell Slatford. The junior school is situated at the old Uplands site and the senior school at Wentworth. This new school falls under the umbrella of the United Church Schools Trust. History The School on the site in St Osmunds Road began as the Bourne School for Girls in the old Sandecotes Manor as a select girls boarding school. They built School House, which was completed in 1895 and this building today houses the junior hall and the classrooms above it. Uplands Academy
Uplands Academy (formerly Uplands Community College) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Wadhurst, East Sussex, England. History It is rumoured that the school was built on the grounds of a large family house called Uplands. Uplands was purchased by Taverner Barrington Miller for about £5000 in about 1918. The house was requisitioned by the army during World War II and was demolished shortly afterwards. The school as it is now was built during the mid 20th century and has been developed greatly over the years. The college has a block-based architecture and layout. The oldest of these blocks houses the main hall, staff room, school offices and classrooms for general use.
