Anouk Schemmekes (, ; born 8 April 1975), professionally known by the mononymous person, mononym Anouk, is a Dutch singer and songwriter. After her 1997 breakthrough rock single ''Nobody's Wife (song), Nobody's Wife'', she had hit records in the Dutch and Belgian charts. Graduated Fool is the third studio album from Dutch singer Anouk, released on 22 November 2002. The album yielded three singles: "Everything" peaked at number 12 in the Dutch top 40, second single "I Live For You" failed to chart and third single "Hail" peaked at number 31, due to a lack of promotion because Anouk was pregnant with her son Elijah. The album itself peaked at number 3 in the Dutch album chart. With 25.000 copies sold, it was her least successful album to date. Hotel New York
''Hotel New York'' is the fourth studio album recorded by the Dutch pop/ rock singer Anouk and released on December 3, 2004, in the Netherlands. The album is named for the location where Anouk wrote all its songs: Hotel New York in Rotterdam. Debuting at number one, the album was a major success, staying at that top spot for twelve weeks. "Hotel New York" remained on the Dutch albums chart for eighty-seven weeks, eventually going triple platinum. In Belgium, the album spent a week at number one and stayed in the top 50 for 72 weeks. The first single off the album "Girl" peaked at number two on the Dutch Top 40, and so did "Lost", the second single. The third single "Jerusalem" peaked at number twenty and the final single "One Word" peaked again at number two. Acoustic Music
Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means. While all music was once acoustic, the retronym "acoustic music" appeared after the advent of electric instruments, such as the electric guitar, electric violin, electric organ and synthesizer.
