''Excluded from the Public'' (German: ''Unter Ausschluß der Öffentlichkeit'') is a 1927 German silent drama film directed by Conrad Wiene and starring Werner Krauss, Maly Delschaft and Vivian Gibson.St. Pierre p.207 It was shot at the Staaken Studios in Berlin. The film's sets were designed by the art director Robert A. Dietrich. Conrad Wiene
Conrad Wiene (3 February 1878 – after May 1934) was an actor, screenwriter, film producer and director of Austrian and German silent films. He was the younger brother of German film director Robert Wiene. Biography Conrad Wiene was born in Vienna, younger son of the successful actor Carl Wiene, in whose footsteps Conrad initially followed as a stage and screen actor. He co-directed his first films with his elder brother Robert, and later made almost twenty feature films, mostly silent. On most of them he also wrote the screenplays. He worked in Berlin, Prague and Breslau (Wrocław) and above all in Vienna, where several of his silent films were shot in the Schönbrunn Studios (''Schönbrunn-Ateliers''). His name was connected with the first proposal in 1930 in Vienna to film Lion Feuchtwanger's 1925 historical novel ''Jud Süß'' ("Jew Süss"), but the project never reached the production stage. Henry Stuart (actor)
Henry Stuart (1 February 1885 – 26 January 1948) was a Swiss film actor known for his work in Germany. Stuart was born in Cairo as son of a Swiss doctor, but educated in Britain. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, intending to become a painter. After moving into the German film industry following the First World War, Stuart played a number of prominent supporting roles in productions such as ''Joyless Street'' (1925).Isenberg p.142 Stuart's film career largely ended with the arrival of sound, and he worked increasingly on the stage. His final film appearance was a small role in the Nazi agfacolor epic '' Münchhausen'' (1943). Dodge is an American brand of automobiles and a division of Stellantis, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Dodge vehicles have historically included performance cars, and for much of its existence Dodge was Chrysler's mid-priced brand above Plymouth. Founded as the Dodge Brothers Company machine shop by brothers Horace Elgin Dodge and John Francis Dodge in the early 1900s, Dodge was originally a supplier of parts and assemblies to Detroit-based automakers like Ford. They began building complete automobiles under the "Dodge Brothers" brand in 1914, predating the founding of Chrysler Corporation. The factory located in Hamtramck, Michigan was the Dodge main factory from 1910 until it closed in January 1980.
