Tom London (born Leonard T. Clapman; August 24, 1889 – December 5, 1963) was an American actor who played frequently in B-Westerns. According to ''The Guinness Book of Movie Records'', London is credited with appearing in the most films in the history of Hollywood, according to the 2001 book ''Film Facts'', which says that the performer who played in the most films was "Tom London, who made his first of over 2,000 appearances in '' The Great Train Robbery, 1903''. Sheldon Lewis
Sheldon Lewis (April 20, 1868 – May 7, 1958) was an American actor of the silent era best known for his antagonistic roles. He appeared in more than 90 films between 1914 and 1936. Lewis was married to actress Virginia Pearson, and they were divorced in 1928. An Associated Press news brief about the divorce said that Pearson accused Lewis of "jealousy, ill temper and abuse." However, Pearson's obituary in ''The New York Times'' said, "throughout the remaining years of their lives, they remained constant companions." The obituary indicated that the divorce was obtained because in that era marriage diminished a female film star's box-office appeal. Lewis was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died in San Gabriel, California. His interment was located at Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park. Alice Lake (September 12, 1895 – November 15, 1967) was an American film actress. She began her career during the silent film era and often appeared in comedy shorts opposite Roscoe Arbuckle. Career Born in Brooklyn, New York, Lake began her career as a dancer. She made her screen debut in 1912, and she appeared in a number of comedy shorts by Mack Sennett. Lake was often the leading lady of Roscoe Arbuckle in comedies like '' Oh Doctor!'' (1917) and '' The Cook'' (1918). Arbuckle directed both films and was joined by Buster Keaton who had a leading role in ''Oh Doctor!''. Lake also played dramatic roles with Bert Lytell in ''Blackie's Redemption'' and ''The Lion's Den'', both from 1919. During the 1920s she appeared in a number of Metro silent film features as the lead actress. At the height of her career she earned $1,200 per week as a motion picture actress.
