''Unstoppable'' is a studio album by American country music group The Oak Ridge Boys. It was released in 1991 as their first album for RCA Records. It includes " Lucky Moon", their last Top 40 hit on Hot Country Songs. The album reached number 41 on Top Country Albums. The Oak Ridge Boys are an American country and gospel vocal quartet originating in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The group was founded in the 1940s as the Oak Ridge Quartet. They became popular in Southern gospel during the 1950s. Dennis Linde
Dennis Linde (pronounced LIN-dy, March 18, 1943December 22, 2006) was an American music songwriter based in Nashville who has had over 250 of his songs recorded. He is best known for writing the 1972 Elvis Presley hit, "Burning Love". Rarely working with co-writers, he wrote both words and music for most of his songs. In 1994, Linde won BMI's "Top Writer Award" and received four awards as BMI's most-performed titles for that year. His wife and daughter collected the awards because Linde shunned awards shows and avoided publicity. He earned 14 BMI "Million-Air" songs (a song played on the air one million times). In 2001, he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Linde died of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2006 at the age of 63. John Jarrard
John Jarrard (May 7, 1953 February 1, 2001) was an American country music songwriter. He wrote songs for Alabama, George Strait, Don Williams, and others. Biography John Jarrard was born in Gainesville, Georgia on May 7, 1953. He worked as a disc jockey in his hometown, and moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1974 after being persuaded by a girlfriend to attend a convention there. While in Nashville, he worked at a motel and recorded demos with his friend, songwriter Bruce Burch. Jarrard stopped working at the motel in 1979 after complications of diabetes, which led to him losing his eyesight before suffering total kidney failure which required a transplant. His first No. 1 single as a songwriter was " Nobody but You" by Don Williams. Other artists who recorded his songs include Alabama, Tracy Lawrence, and George Strait. Monty Powell
Monty Powell (born June 1, 1961) is an American country music songwriter best known for collaborating with Keith Urban, and for producing albums by Diamond Rio. Powell's first songwriting credit was a jingle for an Allstate commercial. After moving to Nashville, Tennessee in the early 1990s, Powell wrote several songs for Diamond Rio, whose lead singer Marty Roe was a roommate of his while they were in college at Lipscomb University. Other artists who recorded Powell's songs include Tracy Byrd, Chris Cagle, Billy Ray Cyrus, Tim McGraw, Collin Raye, and Restless Heart. One of his first collaborations with Urban was his debut single, "It's a Love Thing", which reached Top 20 in 1999. Doug Johnson (record Producer)
Doug Johnson (born in Swainsboro, Georgia) is an American record producer and songwriter. He began in the 1970s working as an engineer and mixer for the Lowery Group. His first production credit was for The Burch Sisters, an act which signed with Mercury Nashville in 1988. A year later, Johnson helped Doug Stone secure a contract with Epic Records. While at Epic, Johnson became the vice president of A&R, helping the label to sign Patty Loveless while producing for Ty Herndon, John Michael Montgomery, and others. Johnson also assembled the members of the Gibson/Miller Band, which recorded two albums for Epic. He was promoted to senior vice president of the label in 1994, then moved to Giant Records in 1997, becoming president of that label. Johnson also produces and co-writes for Lee Brice. Mark Wright (born 1957 in Fayetteville, Arkansas) is an American record producer who works mainly in country music. He is known for having worked with Brooks & Dunn, Gary Allan, and Lee Ann Womack. Career Wright was originally a songwriter, having written for Reba McEntire, Amy Grant, and Kenny Rogers. "Walkin' After Midnight" is a song written by Alan Block and Don Hecht and recorded by American country music artist Patsy Cline. The song was originally given to pop singer Kay Starr; however, her label rejected it. The song was left unused until Hecht rediscovered it when writing for Four Star Records. Originally Cline was not fond of "Walkin' After Midnight", but after making a compromise with her label she recorded it. However, the first released recording was by Lynn Howard with The Accents, released August 1956. In January 1957, Cline performed the song on an episode of the CBS television program ''Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts''. It garnered a strong response from viewers and was therefore rush-released as a single on February 11, 1957.
