University Of The Philippines College Of Engineering
The College of Engineering of the University of the Philippines Diliman is the largest degree-granting unit in the UP System, U.P. System in terms of student population. The college is also known formally as UP COE, COE, and informally as Eng'g (pronounced "eng"). The College of Engineering is composed of eight departments, three of which are housed in the historic Alejandro Melchor, Melchor Hall along Osmeña Avenue in the U.P. Diliman campus. These are the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DME), the Department of Geodetic Engineering (DGE), and the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (DIE/OR). The University of the Philippines (UP; fil, Pamantasan ng Pilipinas Unibersidad ng Pilipinas) is a state university system in the Philippines. Chemical kinetics, also known as reaction kinetics, is the branch of physical chemistry that is concerned with understanding the rates of chemical reactions. It is to be contrasted with chemical thermodynamics, which deals with the direction in which a reaction occurs but in itself tells nothing about its rate. The Church of the Risen Lord is a Protestant church located in the University of the Philippines campus in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines. It was constructed in the 1950s through the Christian Youth Movement (CYM), a student youth group. Architecture The Church of the Risen Lord was designed by Filipino architect Cesar Concio. The building is located nearby another landmark chapel in the campus, the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice, designed by Leandro Locsin. The structure was proclaimed in the 1950's as "an engineering masterpiece with its double parabola". The chapel is saddle-shaped – a hyperbolic paraboloid with flat ends.
