University Of Wisconsin–Madison School Of Education
The University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Education is a school within the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Although teacher education was offered at the university's founding in 1848, the School was officially started in 1930 and today is composed of 10 academic departments. '' U.S. News & World Report'' in its 2023 Best Grad School rankings rated UW-Madison's School of Education No. 5 among public institutions. In addition, U.S. News ranked nine education specialty areas, and UW–Madison’s School of Education is the only school in the nation to have a top-10 ranking in all nine — including the No. 1-ranked Educational Psychology program. Bascom Hill
Bascom Hill is the iconic main quadrangle that forms the historic core of the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus. It is located on the opposite end of State Street from the Wisconsin State Capitol, and is named after John Bascom, former president of the University of Wisconsin. The hill is crowned by Bascom Hall, the main administration building for the campus. Near the main entrance to Bascom Hall sits a statue of President Abraham Lincoln. The first university building, North Hall, was constructed on Bascom Hill in 1851 and is still in use by the Department of Political Science. Mark Tauscher
Mark Tauscher (; born June 17, 1977) is a former American football offensive tackle who spend his entire 11-year career in the National Football League (NFL) with the Green Bay Packers. He was drafted by the Packers in the seventh round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He won Super Bowl XLV with them over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football at Wisconsin. He now provides studio commentary for NFL coverage on Sky Sports in Britain. Faisal Abdu'Allah
Faisal Abdu'Allah (born 1969 in London) is a British artist and barber. His work includes photography, screenprint and installations. Life and work Abdu'Allah was born Paul Duffus in 1969 and grew up in a Pentecostal family. He was educated at Willesden High School, Harrow School of Art, Central St Martins and the Royal College of Art. In 1991, Abdu'Allah converted to Islam and changed his name. Helen Lee is an artist, glassblower, designer, and educator. Education and career Lee was born in Summit, NJ in 1978 in Summit, New Jersey. Lee graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Art and Design with a concentrations in Architectural Design and Writing. In 2006 she earned a Master of Arts with a concentration in Glass from the Rhode Island School of Design. Lee has worked as a designer and glass artist for over ten years. The Whitney Biennial is a biennial exhibition of contemporary American art, typically by young and lesser known artists, on display at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, United States. Michelle Grabner
Michelle Grabner (born 1962 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin) is an artist, curator, and critic based in Wisconsin. She is the Crown Family Professor of Art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she has taught since 1996. She has curated several important exhibitions, including the 2014 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art along with Anthony Elms and Stuart Comer, anFRONT International the 2016 Portland Biennial at thOregon Contemporary a triennial exhibition in Cleveland, Ohio in 2018. Linda Jean Barry (born January 2, 1956) is an American cartoonist. Barry is best known for her weekly comic strip ''Ernie Pook's Comeek''. She garnered attention with her 1988 illustrated novel ''The Good Times are Killing Me'', about an interracial friendship between two young girls, which was adapted into a play.
