Strathclyde Students' Union (Strath Union) is the representative body for students of the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland since its founding in 1964. History Founded in 1964, the University of Strathclyde Students' Association was formed when the Students' Associations of the Royal College of Science and Technology and of the Scottish College of Commerce amalgamated. In 1989 it merged with the University of Strathclyde Sports Union. The original Students' Union building was located at 90 John Street on the western side of the John Anderson Campus, adjoining onto the rear of the Royal College, James Weir and Thomas Graham buildings. It was opened in 1959,., and also incorporated a steam power plant to provide heating for the Royal College and the later additions of the James Weir and Thomas Graham buildings. The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, more commonly referred to as COP26, was the 26th United Nations Climate Change conference, held at the SEC Centre in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, from 31 October to 13 November 2021. Doug Henderson (Labour Politician)
Douglas John Henderson (born 9 June 1949) is a British Labour Party politician who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Newcastle upon Tyne North from 1987 to 2010. In 2015, he was appointed chairman of Falkirk F.C., a position he held until June 2017. Early life Doug Henderson was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and educated at the Waid Academy, Anstruther, before going on later to study economics at both the Central College of Commerce, Glasgow, and the University of Strathclyde. Patrick John Grady (born 5 February 1980) is a Scottish politician. He was elected at the 2015 UK general election as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Glasgow North. He was re-elected for the same constituency in the 2017 general election and in the 2019 general election.
