University of Mataram ( id, Universitas Mataram) (Unram) is a public university in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. It was established on October 1, 1962. Its current rektor is Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., PhD. The previous rektor from 2018-2022 was Dr. Lalu Husni, S.H, M.Hum. Mataram (city)
Mataram ( Indonesian: ''Kota Mataram'') is a city and the capital of the Indonesian province of West Nusa Tenggara. The city is surrounded on all the landward sides by (but is not administratively contained within) West Lombok Regency and lies on the western side of the island of Lombok, Indonesia. It is also the largest city of the province, and had a population of 402,843 at the 2010 Census and 429,651 at the 2020 Census. The city is an economic, cultural, and education center of the province. Mesir Suryadi (17 February 194326 January 2023) was an Indonesian politician from West Nusa Tenggara. He was a member of the People's Representative Council from 2004 until 2009. Before being elected to the People's Representative Council, Mesir was a student activist from the Muslim Students' Association and was heavily involved in local politics in West Nusa Tenggara, with his highest office being the province's parliament speaker from 1987 until 1990. Early life and education Mesir was born on 17 February 1943 in East Lombok, during the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies.
