University Of La Verne College Of Law
The University of La Verne College of Law is the law school of the University of La Verne, a private university in Ontario, California. It was founded in 1970 and is approved by the State Bar of California, but is not accredited by the American Bar Association. History In 1970, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Paul Egly established the law school. In 1985, the school merged with the San Fernando Valley College of Law; however, the two operated as independent entities within the University of La Verne until 2002, when the University of West Los Angeles purchased the San Fernando Valley College of Law campus. In 2001, the law school relocated to Ontario, California. In 2016, the law school became an ABA-accredited school. Ronald Richards is a Beverly Hills, California based criminal defense and civil litigation attorney who has made national media appearances as a legal expert commentator. Phil Esbenshade, also known as Phil E., was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a well known professional skateboarder from the second skateboard heyday of the late 1980s. Five pro model skateboard decks bearing his name and 'E' initial were made by Skull Skates. Also on the Skull Skates team at the time were Duane Peters, Josh Marlowe, Dave Hackett, and Steve Olson. He retired from the sport in the 1990s and later became a Prosecutor and College Professor in California's Central Valley.
