United States National Junior American Football Team
The United States national U-19 American football team represents the United States in under-19 international American football competitions. The US has competed in all 5 of the IFAF Junior World Championship competitions in which they finished in First Place 2 times, Second Place 2 times, and Third Place 1 time. The US has also won the IFAF International Bowl 7 times. They are currently ranked no.2 in the IFAF U-19 rankings. Top competitions for the U-19s are the IFAF Junior World Championship, IFAF International Bowl, and U-19 North American Championships. IFAF Junior World Championship
The IFAF Junior World Championship or IFAF Junior World Cup is a biennial competition for American football which ran from 2009 to 2020 and was the precursor of the quadrennial IFAF U20 World Cup with the first event scheduled for 2024 in Canada. IFAF U19 World Cup The IFAF U19 World Cup is the precursor of the IFAF U20 World Cup. The U19 World Cup was the world championship of American football for players under the age of 19 organized by the International Federation of American Football. From 2012 through 2018, the age designation "U-19" was used in the tournament title. An age adjustment ratified by IFAF has repositioned the premiere junior competition as the U20 IFAF World Junior Championship in 2024 hosted in Edmonton, Alberta on a four-year cycle. 2016 IFAF U-19 World Championship
The 2016 IFAF U-19 World Championship was an international American football tournament for junior teams (19 years and under) that took place at Harbin, China from June 29 to July 10. This is the first time that China has hosted an international American football competition. Teams were split into higher and lower groups by seeding. Canada Men's National Football Team
The Canada Men's National Football Team represent Canada in Senior Men's international gridiron football competitions. It is governed and managed by Football Canada and is recognized by the International Federation of American Football (IFAF). Football Canada is the governing body for amateur Canadian football, however, IFAF-sponsored games are played using American football rules. They competed for their first and only IFAF World Championship in 2011. There are currently no plans for Canada to field a senior men's team for the 2023 World Championships in Germany.
