The 2018 United States Senate election in Nebraska took place on November 6, 2018, to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the state of Nebraska. Mike Foley (born April 5, 1954) is an American politician serving as the 41st lieutenant governor of Nebraska since 2015. A member of the Republican Party, he was previously elected to the Nebraska Legislature from 2001 to 2007 and served as the Nebraska Auditor of Public Accounts from 2007 until 2015. Adrian Michael Smith (born December 19, 1970) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2007. A member of the Republican Party, he represented the 48th district in the Nebraska Legislature from 1999 to 2007. Smith is the dean of Nebraska's congressional delegation. Jeffrey Lane Fortenberry (born December 27, 1960) is a former United States congressman. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 2005 to 2022, representing as a member of the Republican Party. In October 2021, a federal grand jury indicted Fortenberry on three charges of lying to investigators and concealing information about foreign campaign contributions.
