Kentucky's 6th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Kentucky. Based in Central Kentucky, the district contains the cities of Lexington, Kentucky, Lexington (including its suburbs), Richmond, Kentucky, Richmond, and Frankfort, Kentucky, Frankfort, the state capital city, capital. The district is currently represented by Republican Andy Barr (American politician), Andy Barr. Characteristics Until January 1, 2006, Kentucky did not track party affiliation for registered voters who were neither Democratic Party (United States), Democratic nor Republican Party (United States), Republican. Garland Hale "Andy" Barr IV (born July 24, 1973) is an American attorney and politician serving as the United States House of Representatives, U.S. representative for Kentucky's 6th congressional district since 2013.
