The U.S. House Energy Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations is a subcommittee within the United States House Committee on Energy and Commerce, House Committee on Energy and Commerce. Jurisdiction Responsibility for oversight of agencies, departments, and programs within the jurisdiction of the full committee, and for conducting investigations within such jurisdiction. The Committee on Energy and Commerce is one of the oldest standing committees of the United States House of Representatives. Established in 1795, it has operated continuously—with various name changes and jurisdictional changes—for more than 200 years. David Bennett McKinley (born March 28, 1947) is an American businessman and politician who has served as the U.S. representative for since 2011.
