Unionville Milliken Soccer Club is a Canadian semi-professional soccer club based in Unionville, Ontario. The club was founded in 1976 as a youth soccer club and added its men's semi-professional club in League1 Ontario in 2018. The club also fields a team in the League1 Ontario women's division, which entered the league in the 2017 season. History The club was founded in 1976 to serve the communities of Unionville and Milliken in Ontario. Originally a youth soccer club, the team added semi-professional teams in League1 Ontario in the women's division in 2017, followed by a men's team in 2018. League1 Ontario (L1O) is a semi-professional men's soccer league in Ontario, Canada. The league began play in 2014 and is sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association and the Ontario Soccer Association as a pro-am league in the Canadian soccer league system. As of the 2022 season, L1O includes 22 teams. Beginning in 2024, the league will become a three-tier league featuring promotion and relegation. In the Canadian soccer league system, the men's division is behind the Canadian Premier League (CPL). It is part of League1 Canada, the national third tier with regional division, with L1O equaivalent to the Première ligue de soccer du Québec (PLSQ) and League1 British Columbia (L1BC). Richard Edwards (footballer)
Richard Edwards (born April 15, 1983) is a Jamaican former footballer and serves on the technical staff for Brampton Soccer Club. Playing career Edwards began his career in 2004 with Waterhouse F.C. in the National Premier League. In 2006, he signed with Harbour View F.C., and won the league title in 2007, 2010, and the 2007 CFU Club Championship. In 2012, he went overseas to Finland to sign with Mikkelin Palloilijat in the Kakkonen. At the conclusion of the season he returned home to sign with Harbour View. In 2013, he went abroad to Canada to sign with the York Region Shooters of the Canadian Soccer League. Kiril Dimitrov (footballer)
Kiril Dimitrov ( bg, Kирил Димитров; born 21 January 1985) is a Bulgarian footballer who is currently playing with Scarborough SC in the Canadian Soccer League. Aside from being an active player he also serves as the general manager for Scarborough SC. Playing career Dimitrov began his career in 2004 with Makedonska Slava and later played with PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad and FC Septemvri Simitli. In 2007, he played in the Bulgarian A Football Group with PFC Belasitsa Petrich. He played with the club for two seasons.
