The 2000 census found 1,009 people in the township, 805 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township. Scott is a village in Paulding and Van Wert counties in the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 286 at the 2010 census. The Van Wert County portion of Scott is part of the Van Wert Micropolitan Statistical Area. History Scott was platted in 1882 by J. T. Scott, and named for him.
