Union 38 School District
Union 38 is a school district that serves Franklin County, Massachusetts. It operates 5 schools, 4 of which are elementary schools, and one regional high school. About Frontier Regional and Union 38 School District are located in rural Western Massachusetts. Approximately 1,700 students are enrolled PreK-12. Frontier Regional School (FRS) is a regional combined public high school and middle school in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, United States, serving students in grades 7–12, as part of the Union 38 School District. The district serves the four towns of Deerfield, Sunderland, Whately and Conway. Academics Frontier Regional runs on a semester system. Conway is a town in Franklin County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 1,761 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Conway was first settled by English colonists in 1762 as the southwest portion of the Town of Deerfield. The town was eventually separated and was officially incorporated in 1767. The town was named for General Henry Seymour Conway, a leader in the British House of Commons during repeal of the Stamp Act. (Conway, New Hampshire, as well as other towns across the country, were also named for him.) History Whately was first settled in 1672 as a northern section of Hatfield.
