Unified access management (UAM) refers to an identity management solution. It is used by enterprises to manage digital identities and provide secure access to users across multiple devices and applications, both cloud and on-premise. Unified access management solutions provide a single platform from which IT can manage access across a diverse set of users, devices, and applications, whether on-premise or in the cloud. Unified access management (UAM) is an evolution of identity and access management (IAM) systems. OneLogin
OneLogin, Inc. is a cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) provider that develops a unified access management (UAM) platform to enterprise-level businesses and organizations. It was founded in 2009 by brothers Thomas Pedersen and Christian Pedersen. History OneLogin was founded in 2009 in San Francisco by Thomas and Christian Pedersen. Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML, pronounced ''SAM-el'', ) is an open standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data between parties, in particular, between an identity provider and a service provider. In computer systems security, role-based access control (RBAC) or role-based security is an approach to restricting system access to authorized users. It is an approach to implement mandatory access control (MAC) or discretionary access control (DAC). Role-based access control is a policy-neutral access-control mechanism defined around roles and privileges. The components of RBAC such as role-permissions, user-role and role-role relationships make it simple to perform user assignments. A study by NIST has demonstrated that RBAC addresses many needs of commercial and government organizations. Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication scheme that allows a user to log in with a single ID to any of several related, yet independent, software systems. True single sign-on allows the user to log in once and access services without re-entering authentication factors.
