"Undisclosed Desires" (also known as "Undisclosed") is a song by English rock band Muse. It was released as the second single from their fifth studio album, '' The Resistance'', on 16 November 2009. The song was written by lead vocalist Matthew Bellamy, who has described the song as being "quite a personal song about me and my girlfriend." The song peaked at number 49 on the UK Singles Chart. It also achieved large success in Australia where it was certified Platinum and is Muse's highest-charting single in that country. The Resistance (album)
''The Resistance'' is the fifth studio album by English rock band Muse, first released on 14 September 2009 through Warner Bros. Records and Muse's Helium-3 imprint. Produced by the band and mixed by Mark Stent, the album was recorded from September 2008 to May 2009 at Studio Bellini in Lake Como, Italy. Musically, the record is similar to some of the band's previous material, mixing orchestral elements with rock and electronic music. The album also saw the band craft a three-part, 13-minute long symphony piece titled " Exogenesis". Lyrically, it is a concept record, as well as a continuation of the themes from their previous records, being influenced by politics and more oppressive subjects. ''The Resistance'' received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its concept, instrumentation, influences and Bellamy's vocals. "Resistance" is a song by English alternative rock band Muse, featured as the title track on their fifth studio album '' The Resistance''. Written by vocalist, guitarist and pianist Matthew Bellamy, it was released as the third single from the album, following "Uprising" and " Undisclosed Desires", on 22 February 2010. The song makes several references to the novel ''Nineteen Eighty-Four'', by George Orwell. The intro of the song is used in the trailer of the last episode of BBC show ''Silent Witness''. In February 2010, Muse had uploaded a picture puzzle of "Resistance" artwork on their official Facebook page. Matthew James Bellamy (born 9 June 1978) is an English singer, musician, producer, and songwriter. He is primarily known as the lead vocalist, guitarist, pianist, and primary songwriter for English rock band Muse. "New Life" is the second UK single by Depeche Mode from their debut Speak and Spell recorded at Blackwing Studios in south London, originally released on 13 June 1981. It was not commercially released in the United States. Background Vince Clarke wrote the song. There were two versions of the song available. The 7" version would later become the "album version", as it would eventually appear on the UK version of '' Speak & Spell'', released in October 1981, and a 12" "remix", which differs from the album version, in that it has a different intro, intensely percussive and harder, and an added synth part in the "solo" vocal section in the middle of the song, which is not present on the 7" mix.
