Undine
Undines (; also ondines) are a category of elemental beings associated with water, stemming from the alchemical writings of Paracelsus. Later writers developed the undine into a water nymph in its own right, and it continues to live in modern literature and art through such adaptations as Danish Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid" and the ''Undine'' of Friedrich de la Motte Fouqué. Etymology The term ''Undine'' first appears in the alchemical writings of Paracelsus, a Renaissance alchemist and physician. It derives from the Latin word ''unda'', meaning "wave", and first appears in Paracelsus' ''A Book on Nymphs, Sylphs, Pygmies, and Salamanders, and on the Other Spirits'', published posthumously in 1566. ''Ondine'' is an alternative spelling, and has become a female given name. ''Once I Was an Eagle'' is the fourth studio album by British singer-songwriter Laura Marling, and was released on 27 May (US/Canada, 28 May) 2013. "Master Hunter" was the album's first official single release. It was nominated for the 2013 Mercury Prize. The record achieved unanimous critical acclaim, and has been cited as one of the best singer-songwriter records of the 21st century. History Background and production Marling began debuting songs from ''Once I Was An Eagle'', as early as mid-late 2011, before the release of her third album, ''A Creature I Don't Know''. These songs included "I Was An Eagle", "Pray For Me" and "Master Hunter". The album, according to Marling, is the "plain st album she has written. She has commented that it follows a central figure, who angrily shuns naïvety and love, and over the course of the album regains a "second naïvety". Aria (manga)
''Aria'' (stylized as ''ARIA'') is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kozue Amano. The series was originally titled ''Aqua'' (stylized as ''AQUA'') when it was published in Enix's ''Monthly Stencil'' magazine from 2001 to 2002, and retitled when it was transferred to Mag Garden's ''Comic Blade'', where it continued serialization from November 2002 to April 2008. ''Aqua'' was collected in two ''tankōbon'' volumes, and ''Aria'' was collected in twelve volumes. Hal Film Maker has adapted the manga into several anime television series. A first season was broadcast in 2005, a second season in 2006, an Original video animation, OVA released September 2007, and a third season in 2008 that ended around the same time as the manga serialization.
