Underminded
Underminded is an American hardcore punk band from San Diego, California, United States. The band has been on hiatus since 2007 as its members concentrate on other projects. Frontman Nick Martin was in Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows, and has been in Sleeping With Sirens since originally filling in for them in 2013. Drummer Tanner Wayne has been the drummer for In Flames since 2018. History Band members Nick Martin and Matt Johnson met while classmates at a Catholic school, and formed the band together in 1999. They were encouraged to tour by Buck-O-Nine singer Jon Pebsworth very early in their career. Their debut album, ''Hail Unamerican'', appeared in 2004. Following the release of the album, the band played the entire 2004 Warped Tour. A follow-up album, ''Eleven Eleven'', was planned for release in 2006 but was actually issued in 2007. Tanner Wayne
Andrew Tanner Wayne (born May 18, 1988) is an American musician, best known for being the former drummer of Underminded, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, and Chiodos. He has also filled in on drums for Underoath. He is currently the drummer for Swedish Heavy metal music, heavy metal band In Flames. Career Underminded and Scary Kids Scaring Kids (1999–2009) Wayne was the third drummer of the hardcore punk band Underminded, replacing Joe Mullen in 2006. He was only featured on one album, ''Eleven:Eleven'', which was released in 2007. When asked by Something Punk about the current status of Underminded, Wayne said that "Nick Martin (musician), Nick Martin (vocals) and I decided that we wanted Underminded to be an open thing forever. Bone Palace Ballet
''Bone Palace Ballet'' is the second album by American post-hardcore band Chiodos, released on September 4, 2007. The album takes its name from a literary work of Charles Bukowski. It was their last album with vocalist Craig Owens and drummer Derrick Frost, until they both rejoined the band in 2012. Following the album's release, it entered the U.S. ''Billboard'' 200 chart at number 5 and the ''Top Independent Albums'' at number 1, selling over 39,000 copies in its first week, making it one of the highest-charting post-hardcore albums to date. By January 2009, the album had sold more than 200,000 copies in the United States alone. On September 4, 2007, Equal Vision Records released an opaque orange vinyl pressing of the album which included the full album on compact disc. It was limited to 2,000 copies. Warner Bros. Mike Fuentes (musician)
Michael Christopher "Mike" Fuentes (born December 14, 1984) is a former American musician. He is best known as the former drummer for the post-hardcore band Pierce the Veil alongside his older brother Vic Fuentes. Fuentes was the percussionist for the supergroup Isles & Glaciers. He had more recently began a hip hop solo project under the stage name MikeyWhiskeyHands in which he raps on instrumentals produced by Pierce the Veil's bassist Jaime Preciado. Fuentes signed to Velocity Records in March 2012. Both brothers attended Mission Bay Senior High School. Mike graduated with the Class of 2003, where he was also voted "Most Likely To Be Famous" in the yearbook that year. Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (abbreviated as D.R.U.G.S.) formed in 2010, is an American post-hardcore band from Pontiac, Michigan, United States. They released their debut self-titled album on February 22, 2011. The band were stylized as a ''supergroup'' before their break up in 2012. The band reformed in 2020 with Craig Owens, Jona Weinhofen, Aaron Patrick and Aaron Stechauner and they released their second album ''Destroy Rebuild'' on June 17, 2022. Kung Fu Records
Kung Fu Records is an American independent record label founded in 1996 by Joe Escalante and Warren Fitzgerald of the punk rock band The Vandals. Founded in order to release a record by the Riverside, California band Assorted Jelly Beans, the label soon grew to include a roster of notable artists such as The Ataris, Ozma, Tsunami Bomb, and The Vandals themselves. In 2000 Escalante started Kung Fu Films as a subsidiary of the music label in order to release DVDs of live concerts, music videos, band documentaries, and independent films. Chiodos
Chiodos (, ) was an American post-hardcore band from Davison, Michigan. Formed in 2001, the group was originally known as “The Light-hearted Carpet Knights” before changing their name to "The Chiodos Bros," the band's name was a tribute to filmmakers Stephen, Charles, and Edward Chiodo, responsible for the film ''Killer Klowns from Outer Space''. Paul Miner
Paul Miner (born December 4, 1976) is the bassist for Death by Stereo, who left the band early 2005 (right before the band's fourth album '' Death for Life''), to produce, engineer, master, and mix music full-time. Previously he produced and engineered the first three Death by Stereo records, which is probably why the band's fourth album ''Death for Life'', was a noticeable departure from their regular sound. Paul was also in a band called Kill The Messenger, which was also signed to Indecision Records. Paul is the brother of Jim Miner, the original guitarist, who left the band during the recording of Death by Stereo's third album ''Into the Valley of Death''. Cinematic Sunrise
Cinematic Sunrise was a pop punk American band signed to Equal Vision Records. It consisted of Craig Owens (vocals) and Bradley Bell (piano), along with Bryan Beeler (guitar), Marcus VanKirk (bass), Nick Martin (guitar), and Dave Shapiro (drums). History Owens and Beeler have been members of Cinematic Sunrise since its formation in Spring 2005. Beeler also played in the group Class of '83; drummer Dave Shapiro was previously in Count the Stars, Vankirk was in the group Radio Pirate DJ, and Nick Martin is part of both Underminded and Isles & Glaciers. Emery (band)
Emery is an American post-hardcore band formed in Rock Hill, South Carolina, in 2001 by Toby Morrell, Devin Shelton, Matt Carter, Josh Head, Joel Green, and Seth Studley. The band relocated to Seattle in order to reach a more music-centered scene. Before signing with Tooth & Nail Records, Emery recorded two EPs, ''The Columbus EEP Thee'' and ''The Weak's End'' demo that they used to attract attention from labels.
