Parrish J. Smith (born May 13, 1968), better known as PMD ('Parrish Mic Doc' or 'Parrish Making Dollars'), is an American rapper from Brentwood, New York, a member of EPMD and Hit Squad. DJ Honda is a Japanese record producer and DJ best known for his 1995 self-titled eponymous debut, ''DJ Honda (album), DJ Honda'' (also shortened to ''DJ Honda (album), h''). Biography DJ Honda moved to Tokyo at 17 years old to play in an American influenced rock band called 'The Clique' as the vocalist and guitarist. However, the band struggled and Honda was forced to seek additional employment. He began DJing at the popular nightclubs in a small nearby city, Shizuoka, Shizuoka, Shizuoka where he was first introduced to hip hop music and various turntablism, turntable techniques, including scratching & beat juggling. Eventually, Honda landed gigs in Tokyo's largest clubs while perfecting his turntable techniques. ''Business Is Business'' (stylized as ''Bu$ine$$ I$ Bu$ine$$'') is the second solo studio album by the American rapper PMD (rapper), PMD. It was released on October 22, 1996, through Relativity Records. The Hip hop production, production was handled by Agallah, Charlie Marotta, DJ Scratch, Solid Scheme and Fabian Hamilton with PMD serving as executive producer. It features guest appearances from Das EFX, M.O.P. and Nocturnal. The album debuted at number 180 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 and number 29 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Two singles were released from the album, "Rugged-n-Raw" featuring Das EFX, and "It's the Pee" featuring Mobb Deep. Both were minor hits on the R&B and Rap charts. ''The Awakening'' is the third solo studio album by American rapper PMD. It was released on June 17, 2003 via Solid Records. Production was handled by EPMD, DJ Honda, Track Addicts, 7L, Alchemist, DJ Lyve, DJ Muggs, Dre Meezy, the Ghetto Professionals, Ground Work, KutMasta Kurt, Pete Rock and Raheem Solo. It features guest appearances from Don Fu-Quan, 275, Cypress Hill, Fat Joe, Feever, J Boogie, Krazy Drayz, K-Solo, Rah, Rob Jackson, and Erick Sermon, who appeared on the EPMD reunion track "Look At U Now".
