"Underdog" is the second single by English rock band You Me at Six written by Sam Moss, to be released from their second album: ''Hold Me Down''. "Underdog" was released on 8 February 2010 and charted at a peak of #49 on the UK Singles Chart, marking the band's sixth most successful single to date. The single was added to BBC Radio 1's A Playlist during January 2010. Music video The music video for Underdog was shot at Brixton Academy in December 2009 and was directed by Nick Bartlett. The music video is a mix of performance shots and a storyline where a ballerina is cheated on by her boyfriend with someone else. The ballerina then performs a routine. When she returns she kisses her boyfriend in front of the one he cheated with, who leaves. The ballerina then walks away, leaving him with no girl. You Me At Six
You Me at Six are an English rock band from Weybridge, Surrey. The band consists of lead singer Josh Franceschi, guitarists Max Helyer and Chris Miller, bassist Matt Barnes and drummer Daniel Flint. Formed in 2004, the name for the group originated as an abbreviation for the group making Friday night plans after a concert. The band has released seven studio albums and one live album. The group achieved initial success in 2008 with the release of their debut album, '' Take Off Your Colours'', which included the singles " Save It for the Bedroom", "Finders Keepers" and " Kiss and Tell", with the latter two peaking at number 33 and number 42 respectively in the UK Singles Chart. ''Hold Me Down'' is the second studio album by English rock band You Me at Six, released on 11 January 2010 through Virgin Records as the follow-up to 2008's '' Take Off Your Colours''. It is the band's first release on the major label Virgin Records. Like their debut album, the album was once again produced and engineered by John Mitchell and Matt O'Grady. "The Consequence" was made available for free digital download before the first single, "Underdog" preceded the album's release. Despite receiving mixed reviews, ''Hold Me Down'' was a commercial success and debuted at No. 5 on the UK Albums Chart and is certified Gold in the UK for 100,000 shipments of copies. Kiss And Tell (You Me At Six Song)
"Kiss and Tell" is a song by You Me at Six, released as a single on 7 September 2009 through Virgin. The single was released on CD, digital download and 7" vinyl, with the former two having an additional track, a cover of Lady Gaga's " Poker Face". It would later feature on the deluxe edition of ''Take Off Your Colours''. The song is a first person narrative about a girl that everybody wants, and how she has a promiscuous nature and "Kisses and Tells". The song received considerable airplay across Radio 1 as well as topping both the Kerrang! and NME charts. In support of the single, the band played a short five date headline tour in intimate venues, including the London Camden Underworld, as well as two in-store shows. It also gained much media coverage. "Kiss and Tell" peaked at number 42 in the UK charts. "Liquid Confidence" is the third single by British rock band You Me at Six, taken from their second studio album, ''Hold Me Down''. The single was added to BBC Radio 1's A-list during April 2010. It entered the UK Singles Chart at number 86 upon release on 19 April 2010. On 29 July 2010, "Liquid Confidence" won Best Single at the Kerrang! Awards 2010. Music video The video to the single was released by music magazine ''Kerrang!'' on 12 March 2010 on YouTube. You Me at Six also released the video to "Liquid Confidence" on 15 March 2010, and was made available to watch through the band's Myspace page. The video features the band performing at a music video shoot. Finders Keepers is a song by You Me At Six which was released as a single on 25 May 2009. The song was released on their Myspace account on 8 April. A music video was released for the song on 22 April 2009. It was later featured on the deluxe edition of their '' Take Off Your Colours'' album along with their next single, " Kiss and Tell", and three B-sides. The song reached #1 in the Kerrang Rock Top 40, and peaked at #33 on the UK Singles Chart on the 31 May 2009. This was their first and only entry to date in the Top 40 Singles Chart until "Rescue Me" in 2011. In October, the band supported Fall Out Boy for three dates.
