Savoy (Norwegian Band)
Savoy are a Norwegian-American rock trio consisting of Paul Waaktaar-Savoy (famous from Norwegian band a-ha) (vocals/guitars/bass/keyboards), his wife Lauren Savoy (vocals/guitars) and Frode Unneland (drums/percussion/backing vocals). The band was formed in 1994 and has released 6 studio albums to date. Biography Savoy, unlike Waaktaar-Savoy's other band A-ha, has a more down-to-earth indie rock approach to their music. All songs are composed by Paul Waaktaar-Savoy and Lauren Savoy. Lauren herself is known as a film maker, and Frode Unneland is one of Norway's best drummers known from the Bergen music scene as drummer with Chocolate Overdose and Popium. He has also drummed for Norwegian singer-songwriter Sondre Lerche. Savoy have achieved great critical success in Norway. They have been nominated for 3 Norwegian Grammy Awards (Spellemannprisen) and won two of them, in 2000 and 2002. ''Process'' is the debut studio album by English singer Sampha, released on 3 February 2017 by Young Turks. The album was co-produced by Sampha and Scottish music producer Rodaidh McDonald. It won the Mercury Prize for 2017. Recording As compared to Sampha's characteristic bedroom recording style, ''Process'' was recorded in professional recording studios. The album was primarily recorded in studios across Sampha's native city of London, although it was also partially recorded at Ocean Sound Recordings on the Norwegian island Giske (island), Giske. Release and promotion "Timmy's Prayer" was released on 17 May 2016 as a single. The album's title was revealed alongside the release of "Blood on Me" on 26 August 2016 as ''Process lead single. Bülent Ünder
Bülent Ünder (born 16 April 1949) is a Turkish former professional football player and manager. Playing career Born Istanbul, Turkey, Ünder played his entire career for Galatasaray. He played eight seasons for his club. His team won the Turkish league championship for three times, and won the Turkish Cup twice during his playing career. He finished his career in 1978 with a farewell match against city rivals Fenerbahçe. Ünder also played for the Turkey national team for nine games between 1973 and 1974. Coaching career Bülent Ünder began his coaching career in the 1991–92 season at Çengelköyspor. After a season Ünder joined the second division side Denizlispor. Cengiz Ünder (; born 14 July 1997) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a right winger for Ligue 1 club Marseille and the Turkey national team. Club career Early career Ünder began his professional career at Altinordu, and later transferred to Başakşehir. In his breakout season with Başakşehir, Ünder established himself as one of the best players in the league, scoring 7 goals in 32 games in his debut season in the Süper Lig. Marie Under
Marie Under ( – 25 September 1980) was one of the greatest Estonian poets. She was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 12 separate years. Early life Under was born in Reval (now Tallinn), Estonia to school teachers Priidu (1843–1930) and Leena Under (''née'' Kerner) (1854–1934). She had two older siblings, Evangeline (1880–1932?) and Gottried (1881–1882) and two younger, Berta (1885–1974), and Christfried (1887–1934). She attended a private German girls' school. After graduating, she worked as a salesclerk in a bookstore. In her free time, she wrote poetry in German. In 1902, she married an Estonian accountant, Carl Hacker. The couple had two children, Dagmar and Hedda, while living in Kuchino, a suburb of Moscow. However, in 1904, she fell in love with the Estonian artist Ants Laikmaa. Under (restaurant)
Under is an underwater restaurant in Lindesnes, Norway. Its dining room is found 5.5 metres below sea level. The eating floor is 495 square metres, making it the biggest underwater restaurant in the world, with a capacity of 40 people. It is the only underwater restaurant in Europe, and only the third to be found worldwide. Under also doubles as a sea lab, facilitating research in marine biology. The restaurant was designed by Norwegian architecture-firm Snøhetta. The head chef is Danish Nicolai Ellitsgaard and the restaurant's culinary focus is to showcase the diversity of what the ocean and land has to offer from the southern part of Norway. The restaurant operates with a tasting menu consisting of around 18 to 22 dishes.
