Roger Vadim Plemiannikov (; 26 January 1928 – 11 February 2000) was a French screenwriter, film director and producer, as well as an author, artist and occasional actor. His best-known works are visually lavish films with erotic qualities, such as '' And God Created Woman'' (1956), ''Blood and Roses'' (1960), '' Barbarella'' (1968), and ''Pretty Maids All in a Row'' (1971). Early life Vadim was born Roger Vadim Plemiannikov (sometimes transliterated Plemiannikoff) in Paris. His father, Igor Nikolaevich Plemiannikov (), a White Russian military officer and pianist, had emigrated from the Russian Empire and became a naturalized French citizen. Marie-Christine Barrault (born 21 March 1944) is a French actress. She is best known for her performance in '' Cousin Cousine'' (1975) for which she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. In 2010, she released her autobiography, titled ''This Long Way To Get To You''. Life and career Marie-Christine Barrault was born in Paris, France, the daughter of Martha (née Valmier) and Max-Henri Barrault. Her parents later divorced. Sagamore Stévenin (born 9 May 1974, in Paris) is a French actor, sometimes also listed Thomas Stévenin in film credits. Personal life Sagamore's father is the actor Jean-François Stévenin. Also in the acting profession are his brother Robinson Stévenin, Pierre Stévenin and his sister Salomé Stévenin. Career He began his career in the early 1980s as a child actor.
