Un Rey En La Habana
''Un rey en la Habana'' (A king in Havana) is a film produced in 2005 starring Alexis Valdés. Plot Papito is a young actor grown up in "El Mamey", the most dangerous marginal district of La Habana, which he dreams to leave someday along with his small theater group. Don Arturo arrives in Cuba full of promises and souvenirs. But the millionaire does not last more than 24 hours. During his first "encounter" with Yoli he dies from a cardiac arrest because of overdose of sexual enhancement drug. In the family the panic spreads: They have lost the great opportunity that was going to let them out of the misery. When Papito thinks that nothing could go worse, he receives an "order" from "La Caimana". He must be taken for dead, travel with Yuri to Spain and get all the Euros he can. Alexis Valdés
Alexis Valdés is a Cuban actor, comedian, monologist, film producer, playwright, poet, singer and screenwriter. He was born in Havana, Cuba, on August 16, 1963. Valdés holds a degree in thermal engineering from Havana's Polytechnic José Antonio Echeverría. He rose to prominence in the 1980s, for his performance as Bandurria in the Cuban TV series Los pequeños fugitivos (The Little Fugitives). After working on television and theater for 10 years in Cuba, he moved to Spain in 1991, where he became very popular due to his performances in programs like El Club De La Comedia (The Comedy Club). In 2005, he was actor, director and producer of his first film, ''Un rey en La Habana''. Manuel de Blas Muñoz (born 12 April 1941) is a Spanish film, television, and stage actor. Biography Manuel de Blas was born in Badajoz in 1941. He spent his childhood in Córdoba and subsequently moved to Madrid to study political science. While attending college he enrolled in an acting school, making his debut in films in 1961 with a minor role in the film ''Rosa de Lima''. In 1967 on the set of ''Cita en Navarra'' he met American film actress Patty Shepard, whom he married in the same year. Cuban Spanish is the variety of the Spanish language as it is spoken in Cuba. As a Caribbean variety of Spanish, Cuban Spanish shares a number of features with nearby varieties, including coda weakening and neutralization, non-inversion of Wh-questions, and a lower rate of dropping of subject pronouns compared to other Spanish varieties.
