''Un'estate ai Caraibi'' is a 2009 Italian comedy film directed by Carlo Vanzina. It stars Gigi Proietti, Enrico Brignano, Carlo Buccirosso, Biagio Izzo, and Martina Stella. Carlo Vanzina
Carlo Vanzina (13 March 1951 – 8 July 2018) was an Italian film director, producer and screenwriter. Vanzina was born in Rome, the son of Maria Teresa Nati and film director Stefano Vanzina and brother of Enrico Vanzina. In English-speaking countries, he is likely best known for his 1985 giallo '' Nothing Underneath'', starring Donald Pleasence and Renee Simonsen, which received a substantial home video release and aired on cable frequently. He would effectively remake his own film in 2011 as ''The Last Fashion Show'' with Richard E. Grant. Many of his projects were made for Italian television with English-speaking actors, and in turn these films received English-language home video releases in America. Manuel De Sica (24 February 1949 – 5 December 2014) was an Italian composer. Born in Rome, the son of Vittorio De Sica and María Mercader, De Sica enrolled at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, in which he studied with Bruno Maderna. He debuted as a composer for his father's film ''A Place for Lovers'' (1968). In 1993, De Sica won the Nastro d'Argento for Best Score for Carlo Verdone's '' Al lupo, al lupo''. Luigi "Gigi" Proietti (2 November 1940 – 2 November 2020) was an Italian actor, voice actor, comedian, musician, singer and television presenter. Early life He was born in Rome to Romano Proietti, originally from Umbria, and Giovanna Ceci, a housewife. During his youth he was keen on singing and on playing guitar, piano, accordion and double bass in several Roman nightclubs. He enrolled in the Faculty of Law at the La Sapienza University, where he attended the mimicry courses of the University Theatre Centre held by Giancarlo Cobelli, who immediately noticed his talent as a musician and booked him for an avantgarde play.
