Ultium
Ultium is an electric vehicle battery and motor architecture developed by General Motors. It is planned to be deployed for battery electric vehicles from General Motors portfolio brands along with vehicles from Honda and Acura. Ultium is characterized by a modular layout, using pouch cells that can be stacked horizontally or vertically, depending on the form factor appropriate for each vehicle. A common charging and battery management system, Ultium Drive inverters, and a common series of motors are used across vehicles/types. Ultium is used by GM's BEV3 and BT1 platforms. General Motors BEV3 Platform
The GM BEV3 platform is a dedicated electric vehicle architecture or platform developed by General Motors. It is the third-generation electric vehicle platform by GM, and the architecture replaces the BEV2 platform. It is categorized as a skateboard platform. The BEV3 architecture was first announced by GM in January 2019, and was officially detailed on March 4, 2020, during the GM EV Day briefing in Warren, Michigan, and supports Ultium batteries and Ultium Drive motors. The GMC Hummer EV (also known as Hummer EV and badged as HEV) is a line of battery electric full-size vehicles produced by General Motors under the GMC marque, and its own sub-brand. The Hummer EV line was introduced in October 2020 with the unveiling of the pickup truck (SUT) model. The sport utility vehicle (SUV) model was unveiled in April 2021. Lordstown is a village in southern Trumbull County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,332 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Youngstown–Warren metropolitan area. Lordstown is best known as the home of the Lordstown Assembly, a General Motors automotive plant that produced compact cars from 1966 until 2019. After the closure of Youngstown's steel factories, the Lordstown Assembly became the largest industrial employer of the Mahoning Valley region.
