Ultimate Doomsday
''Ultimate Comics: Doomsday'' is a metaseries collection of three 4-issue comic book limited series published by Marvel Comics. All three series (''Ultimate Enemy'', ''Ultimate Mystery'' and ''Ultimate Doom'') are set in the Ultimate Marvel universe, and are written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Rafa Sandoval. Publication history Bendis has discussed the idea behind the stories and the problems it brings: Plot summary The series mainly focuses on what remains of the Fantastic Four after Ultimatum, specifically dealing with an unknown threat (revealed later) trying to alter the entire Ultimate Universe, in the process causing a significant amount of destruction. Whilst the previous members of the Fantastic Four remain prominent throughout the series, many other characters from different strands of the Ultimate universe also feature. Mark Farmer
Mark Farmer (born 1957 in Birmingham) is a British comic book artist. He is best known as an inker, often working with Alan Davis. Career Farmer got his start in the UK comics industry before becoming part of the British Invasion, the wave of UK creators that were an integral part of the DC Comics "new look" of the 1980s He is primarily known these days as an inker, although he has done some pencilling as well (for instance, collaborating with writer Len Wein on an early 1980s run on ''Green Lantern''). Like nearly all those involved in the British Invasion, Farmer got his start at the British weekly comic '' 2000 AD'', where he pencilled such series as Judge Dredd and Anderson: Psi Division. Farmer usually forms a team with writer/penciler Alan Davis. The Roxxon Energy Corporation (otherwise known as the Roxxon Oil Company, Roxxon Oil Corporation, Roxxon Corporation or simply Roxxon) is the name of a fictional massive petroleum industrial conglomerate in the Marvel Universe appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Limited Series (comics)
In the field of comic books, a limited series is a comics series with a predetermined number of issues. A limited series differs from an ongoing series in that the number of issues is finite and determined before production, and it differs from a One-shot (comics), one shot in that it is composed of multiple issues. The term is often used interchangeably with miniseries (mini-series) and maxiseries (maxi-series), usually depending on the length and number of issues. In Dark Horse Comics' definition of a limited series, "this term primarily applies to a connected series of individual comic books. A limited series refers to a comic book series with a clear beginning, middle and end". A comic book, also called comicbook, comic magazine or (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes.
