Ultimate Collection (Anastacia Album)
''Ultimate Collection'' is a compilation album by American recording artist Anastacia, released on November 6, 2015 by Sony Music. The album includes singles from five of the singer's previous albums ''Not That Kind'' (2000), ''Freak of Nature'' (2001), ''Anastacia'' (2004), '' It's a Man's World'' (2012), ''Resurrection'' (2014) and songs taken from Anastacia's first greatest hits '' Pieces of a Dream'' (2005). Two new songs are also contained in the track list: a cover of Christina Aguilera's "Army of Me" and the lead single, "Take This Chance". Singles from Anastacia's fourth album ''Heavy Rotation'' (2008) were excluded from the project. Anastacia Lyn Newkirk ( ; born September 17, 1968) is an American singer, songwriter and former dancer. Her first two albums '' Not That Kind'' (2000) and '' Freak of Nature'' (2001) were released in quick succession to major success. Spurred on by the multi-platinum, global smash " I'm Outta Love", Anastacia was awarded as the 'World's Best-Selling New Female Pop Artist' in 2001. Her commercial success continued with international hits such as " Paid My Dues", " One Day In Your Life" and the official song of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, "Boom". After recovering from cancer, she returned with 2004's '' Anastacia'' which deviated from previous albums into pop-rock. ''Lorraine'' is a British breakfast television programme that is broadcast on ITV. Launched on 6 September 2010, it is presented by Lorraine Kelly and broadcasts live every weekday from 9:00am to 10:00am. Heaven is a superclub in Charing Cross, London, England. It has a long association with London's LGBT scene and is home to long-running gay night G-A-Y. The club is known for Paul Oakenfold's acid house events in the 1980s, the underground nightclub festival Megatripolis, and for being the birthplace of ambient house. Soundshaft also hosted Future, a regular night on Thursdays run by Andrew Weatherall and Terry Farley. At the end of the night, both crowds would come together when the doors connecting Heaven & Future opened for the last couple of songs. ''Heavy Rotation'' is the fourth studio album by American singer and songwriter Anastacia, released on October 24, 2008 by Mercury Records. It is her first studio album in over four years, since her eponymous third studio album. According to Anastacia, the album title has a deeper meaning to it, referring to the fact that life rotates and you get through the "heavy" things. In the United States, ''Heavy Rotation'' was released on February 17, 2009 in digital format only, including three reworked tracks and the bonus track "Naughty". The album failed to match the commercial success of its predecessors, struggling in the music charts and regarded as 'chasing sales' by Anastacia's label in an attempt to achieve a successful comeback.
