Ulrik Munther (album)
''Ulrik Munther'' is the self-titled debut studio album by Swedish singer-songwriter Ulrik Munther. It was released on 24 August 2011 in Sweden under the Universal Music record label and hit number one on the Swedish Albums Chart in its first week of release, staying at that position for one week. All of the songs were composed by Munther himself. Munther re-released the album on 29 February 2012 after his participation in the Melodifestivalen 2012. It contains two more tracks; "Soldiers", which was performed at Melodifestivalen 2012 and the track "Fool". Singles * Munther's debut single was "Boys Don't Cry", and was released on 29 December 2010. It first charted in the Swedish Singles Chart on July 14, 2011, entering at #42 before dropping out. Jens ''Ulrik'' Munther (born 18 February 1994) is a Swedish singer-songwriter, actor and multi-instrumentalist signed to Universal Music Sweden. His debut studio album ''Ulrik Munther'', was released on 24 August 2011 and peaked to number 1 in Sweden. His second studio album ''Rooftop'', was released on 6 March 2013 and peaked to number 4 in Sweden. Early life Munther started very young playing in different youth rock bands around Kungsbacka, just outside Göteborg. After playing rock covers for some time, he started writing his own material and toured extensively promoting his YouTube songs. He also appeared on a number of Swedish television shows. Released on 6 March 2013 to coincide with his performance during Melodifestivalen 2013, it includes his rendition during the competition titled "Tell the World I'm Here" first performed on 23 February 2013 reaching the final stage of the competition finishing third in the finals held on 9 March 2013. "Born This Way" is a song by American singer Lady Gaga, and the lead single from her second studio album of the same name. Written by Gaga and Jeppe Laursen, who produced it along with Fernando Garibay and DJ White Shadow, the track was developed while Gaga was on the road with the Monster Ball Tour. Inspired by 1990s music which empowered women, minorities and the LGBT community, Gaga explained that "Born This Way" was her freedom song. It was also inspired by Carl Bean and his song " I Was Born This Way", released in 1977. She sang part of the chorus at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards and announced it as the lead single from the album, released on February 11, 2011. "Born This Way" is backed by rumbling synth sounds, a humming bass and additional chorus percussion, with sole organ toward the end. Melodifestivalen 2012 is a Swedish song contest that was held between 4 February and 10 March 2012. It selected the fifty-second Swedish entry to be internationally represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 (ESC 2012). As in the editions between 2009–2011, a maximum of eight people were allowed on stage, while only persons of 16 years or over are eligible. However, in accordance with Eurovision rules, only six people were allowed on stage for the Swedish entry at Eurovision. The main singer(s) were required to perform vocals live on stage. However, other backing vocals can be prerecorded, along with the song's backing track. On 20 June 2011, SVT announced an open call for Melodifestivalen 2012, with some changes in the rules. The iTunes Store is a digital media store operated by Apple Inc. It opened on April 28, 2003, as a result of Steve Jobs' push to open a digital marketplace for music. Jeppe Breum Laursen is a Danish singer-songwriter and producer. Performing under the name "Senior", Laursen was the lead vocalist of the pop duo Junior Senior. In 2008 the British magazine '' Dazed & Confused'' praised Laursen's music for its "urgency and club appeal" and described it as "industrial synth-pop and bone-rattling drama". His first solo release was a collaboration with American electronic music duo Classixx entitled "I'll Get You", which was released in 2009 on Kitsuné.
