Ulrich Stötzel
Ulrich Stötzel (born 6 June 1952) is a German organist and conductor. Life Born in Siegen, Stötzel studied church music at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and passed the A-Examination there. This was followed by postgraduate studies in the master classes of Edgar Krapp and Helmuth Rilling with a final organ concert exam and choral conducting diploma. Since 1973, Stötzel has formed the , which counts up to about 120 singers and has released more than a dozen classical concept albums as well as complete recordings. Frankfurt University Of Music And Performing Arts
The Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (german: Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main, italic=no, link=no, HfMDK) is a state Hochschule for music, theatre and dance in Frankfurt and is the only one of its kind in the Federal State of Hesse. Edgar Krapp
Edgar Krapp (born June 3, 1947 in Bamberg) is a German organist and music professor. Krapp is a member of the Board of the Neue Bachgesellschaft (New Bach Society) in Leipzig and the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts. Biography Krapp's first organ lessons were as a member of the cathedral choir. After graduation he studied organ with Franz Lehrndorfer in Munich and with Marie-Claire Alain in Paris. During his studies he won many prizes at international music competitions. From 1974 to 1993 he served as the successor of Helmut Walcha at the Music Academy in Frankfurt and from 1982 to 1991 he taught as a visiting professor at the Salzburg Mozarteum. In 1993 he was appointed as successor to Franz Lehrndorfer at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, where he taught until 2012. His successor since this time is Bernhard Haas. Helmuth Rilling
Helmuth Rilling (born 29 May 1933) is a German choral conductor and an academic teacher. He is the founder of the Gächinger Kantorei (1954), the Bach-Collegium Stuttgart (1965), the Oregon Bach Festival (1970), the Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart (1981) and other Bach Academies worldwide, as well as the "Festival Ensemble Stuttgart" (2001) and the "Junges Stuttgarter Bach Ensemble" (2011). He taught choral conducting at the Frankfurt Musikhochschule from 1965 to 1989 and led the Frankfurter Kantorei from 1969 to 1982. Education Rilling was born into a musical family. He received his early training at the Protestant Seminaries in Württemberg. From 1952 to 1955 he studied organ, composition, and choral conducting at the Stuttgart College of Music.
