Ulla Wiesner
Ulla Wiesner (born 12 December 1940) is a German singer. Wiesner was active from 1963 to 2002 as a singer. In 1965, she represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest, with her song, " Paradies, wo bist du?" (''Paradise, where are you?''). It scored zero points along with three other countries out of the eighteen which entered in total. Past the Eurovision Song Contest, of which the zero point result has hurt her solo career before it even fully began, she was mainly active with the Botho-Lucas-Chorus, where she stayed as chorister as main profession for 30 years, As stated by Ulla Wiesner notably for their musical accompaniment on the German TV show ''Musik ist Trumpf''. Furthermore, there are several songs existing in the Brilliant-Musik archives, which was founded by Werner Tautz, who wrote several songs for Wiesner, together with Heinz Kiessling and Hans Gerig. Paradies, Wo Bist Du?
Germany was represented by Ulla Wiesner, with the song "Paradies, wo bist du?", at the 1965 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 20 March in Naples, Italy. "Paradies, wo bist du?" was the winner of the German national final, held on 27 February. Before Eurovision Ein Lied für Neapel The final was held at the NDR TV studios in Hamburg, hosted by Henno Lohmeyer. Six songs took part, with the winning song chosen by an 11-member jury who each awarded one point to their favourite song. "Paradies, wo bist du?" was the choice of 8 of the jurors. At Eurovision On the night of the final Wiesner performed 5th in the running order, following Ireland and preceding Austria. Botho-Lucas-Chor
The Botho-Lucas-Chor was one of the most famous German vocal ensembles of the 1960s and 1970s. The choir In 1958, (1923–2012) founded the Lucas Quartet (Botho Lucas, Bernd Golonsky, , ), from which the Botho-Lucas-Chor emerged in 1961 with changing female casts - , Ans Plevier, Daisy Door, Ulla Wiesner, Hanna Dölitsch), first as a studio ensemble with well-known performers but soon with its own, solo works. '' Danke'', the song with which Martin Gotthard Schneider won the competition for new spiritual songs from the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing, became the first unexpected success for the Botho-Lucas Chor. Heinz Kiessling
Heinz Kiessling (March 11, 1926 – December 27, 2003) was a German musician, conductor, composer and music producer, known mainly from his work for popular films and television programs. Kiessling's piece "Temptation Sensation" is the theme song for ''It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'', which is the longest running live-action sitcom in American television history. The series also uses background music during its episodes from Kiessling, such as "On Your Bike" or "Blue Blood". Life and career Kiessling studied piano, composition and conducting after World War II at the Nuremberg Conservatory in 1949, and started his career in 1949 as a pianist and played in different concerts around the world. Triumvirat
Triumvirat was a West German progressive rock band from Cologne in then-West Germany. They became, during the 1970s, a key figure in Eurock, the progressive rock of continental Europe whose German variant is called krautrock. The name Triumvirat comes from the Latin word ''triumvirate'', which refers to a group of three powerful individuals. Members of the original band were Hans-Jürgen Fritz (aka Jürgen Fritz) on keyboards, Werner Frangenberg on bass and vocals, and drummer-percussionist-lyricist Hans Bathelt.
