UK Ultraspeed
UK Ultraspeed was a proposed high-speed magnetic-levitation train line between London and Glasgow, linking 16 stations including Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle and six airports. It was rejected in 2007 by the UK government, in favour of conventional high-speed rail. The company behind the proposal ceased efforts to promote it in early 2013. Proposal The 2005 UK Ultraspeed proposal was submitted as part of the UK's general effort to upgrade train service. German company Transrapid, developers of the only operational high-speed maglev system, backed the Ultraspeed group to promote their technology as an alternative to conventional high-speed train sets like those being used on High Speed 1. The green jobfish (''Aprion virescens''), also known as the gray jobfish, gray snapper, or slender snapper, and in Hawaiian as ''uku'', is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a snapper belonging to the family Lutjanidae. It is found in the Indo-Pacific region. This species inhabits various reef environments at depths from near the surface to . It is a very important species for local commercial fisheries and is popular as a game fish, though it has been reported to cause ciguatera poisoning. It can also be found in the aquarium trade. Uku, Nagasaki
was a town located in Kitamatsuura District, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. It encompasses the entirety of Ukujima island. As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 3,560 and a density of 134.85 persons per km². The total area was 26.40 km².
