Ukrainian Soviet Competitions
The Championship of the Ukrainian SSR in football was a top competition of association football in the Ukrainian SSR in 1921-91. Number of Ukrainian clubs almost never competed in the championship such as Dynamo Kyiv. The competitions were organized by the Football Federation of the Ukrainian SSR that was created in 1959 in place of the Football Section. Before 1980 selected teams of Moldavian SSR participated in the championship. Historical outlook Established as the All-Ukrainian inter-city competition in 1921, later it was included into number of All-Ukrainian Olympiads and Spartakiads. During several seasons the competitions were suspended due to football being identified as a ''"non-proletariat sport"''. Also because of a difficult social cataclysm in 1933 (Holodomor), there was no competitions as well. Ukrainian Football Amateur Association
The Association of Amateur Football of Ukraine ( uk, Асоціація аматорського футболу України, AAFU) is a sports organization that administers national competitions of association football among amateur and children teams. AAFU is a collective member of the Football Federation of Ukraine. It was established 2 March 1998 and under the association agreement between the Football Federation of Ukraine and the Association, it is authorized to organize the All-Ukrainian National Football Championship and Cup tournaments amongst amateur football teams. The football championship is considered the fourth level of national competition and is the premier competitions for amateur clubs (professionally non-licensed). Soviet First League
The Soviet First League in football (russian: Первая лига СССР по футболу) was the second highest division of Soviet football,Evgeni Kazakov. Dnipro, previously called Dnipropetrovsk from 1926 until May 2016, is Ukraine's fourth-largest city, with about one million inhabitants. FC Zorya Luhansk
FC Zorya Luhansk ( uk, ФК «Зоря» Луганськ ) is a Ukrainian football team. Zorya Luhansk is based in the city of Luhansk, Ukraine. However, because of the Russo-Ukrainian War, the team play their games at Slavutych-Arena in Zaporizhzhia. The modern club as a team of masters was established on 10 April 1964 by the Football Federation of the Soviet Union merging the October Revolution Plant (Luhanskteplovoz) sports club Zorya and the Luhansk regional branch of the "Trudovye Rezervy" sports society. FC Lokomotyv Kharkiv ( uk, Локомотив Харків) was a football club from Kharkiv. History The club entered official Soviet competitions in 1936 Soviet Cup as Lokomotiv Kharkov. It was formed out of the team Krasnyi Zheleznodorozhnik (Red Rail Worker) that existed in Kharkiv since 1923. In league competitions the team appeared in 1938 playing in the first group of the Ukrainian SSR championship and replacing "Stalinets" team that represented electric-mechanical factory. After the World War II, in 1945 the team was admitted to the Soviet second tier competitions known as "Vtoraya Gruppa" (Second Group) along with two other teams from the Ukrainian SSR, Kharchovyk Odesa (today Chornomorets) and Shakhtar Stalino. Football Club Dnipro ( uk, Футбо́льний Клуб «Дніпро́», ) was a Ukrainian football club based in Dnipro. The club was owned by the Privat Group that also owns BC Dnipro and Budivelnyk Kyiv. In 2018 FC Dnipro was forced into bankruptcy by FIFA due to multiple legal claims for failing to pay its promised monetary compensation to players and managers. During the Soviet era, the club was a member of the Soviet Volunteer Sports Society "Metallurg" (therefore it carried names Metallurg/Metalurh and Stal) and until 1961 was under sponsorship of the Petrovsky Dnipropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant. FC Lokomotyv Kyiv
FC Lokomotiv Kyiv is a football club from Kyiv, owned by the South Western Railway. It currently participates in various Kyiv city football competitions. It also fields several of its junior teams in the Ukrainian youth league. History Founded in 1919, as ZhelDor (''abbr. -Rail road''), soon after joining the Soviet Lokomotiv sports society it changed its name twice to Lokomotiv in 1936 and Lokomotiv Yuga in 1940. The team played its home games at its own stadium. The best record of competition was the 17th place in the 1938 Soviet Top League. Also, the club was multiple winner of the Kyiv championships. In 1947, soon after the World War II the senior team was disbanded, it later appeared only on the amateur level (regional).
