European Hockey Federation
The European Hockey Federation is a European sports federation for field hockey, based in Brussels. It is the umbrella organisation for all European national federations, and organises the Euro Hockey League. Marijke Fleuren was elected president on 22 August 2011. In reaction to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the European Hockey Federation banned the participation of all Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials from all events sanctioned by the Federation. 2021 Men's EuroHockey Championship II
The 2021 Men's EuroHockey Championship II was the ninth edition of the Men's EuroHockey Championship II, the second level of the men's European field hockey championships organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held from 15 to 21 August 2021 in Gniezno, Poland. The top five teams qualified for the European qualifier for the 2023 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup. Austria won their first EuroHockey Championship II title by defeating Scotland 7–6 in the shoot-out following a 1–1 draw in regular time. 2018–19 Men's Hockey Series
The 2018–19 Men's Hockey Series was the inaugural season of the Hockey Series, a field hockey championship for men's national teams. The tournament started in June 2018 and finished in June 2019. Format The Hockey Series was open to all national teams that were not playing in the Pro League. The Hockey Series took place in two rounds, the Open and the Finals. The nine highest-ranked teams in the FIH World Rankings (as of 9 June 2017) skipped the Open and advance directly to the Finals. All other national teams played in the Hockey Series Open, which featured eight regional events with up to six teams each. Fifteen teams qualified from the Hockey Series Open to the FIH Series Finals, for a total of 24 teams in the Finals. Those teams played in three events, with eight teams per event (three automatic qualifiers and five that advanced from the Open). The 2016–17 Men's FIH Hockey World League was the third edition of the men's field hockey national team league series and last season of the World League. The tournament started in April 2016 in Singapore and finished in December 2017 in Bhubaneswar, India. The Semifinals of this competition will also serve as a qualifier for the 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup as the 10/11 highest placed teams apart from the host nation and the five continental champions qualify. Australia won the tournament's Final round for a record second time after defeating Argentina 2–1 in the final match. India won the third place match by defeating Germany 2–1. 2019 Men's EuroHockey Championship II
The 2019 Men's EuroHockey Championship II was the 8th edition of the Men's EuroHockey Championship II, the second level of the European field hockey championships organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held from 28 July until 3 August 2019 in Cambrai, France. The tournament also served as a direct qualifier for the 2021 EuroHockey Championship, with the winner France and runner-up Russia qualifying.
