Ukelle People
The Ukelle people (''Ba'kelle'') make up roughly half of the population of the Yala Local Government Area in Cross River State, Nigeria . Ukelle people are a sub ethnic group belonging to the Orring people who are also found in Benue in Utonkon, and in different LGAs of Ebonyi State. The dialect of the Ukelle people is Kukelle belonging to the Korring language family. The major groups among the Ukelle are: * North Ukelle in Cross River State: The subgroups here are Wanihem (including Wanibolor), Wanikade (including Uzenyi), Wanokom (including Otikili) and Uzekwe (including Okom). * South Ukelle in Cross River State: Subgroups are Uzilagar (Ijiraga), Uzikatom, Uzokom (Ujokom) and Otiligom (Ntrigom). * Effiom, Uffiom, Amuda(Idzem) and Okpoto, Ebonyi State. * Uffia (Wanffia) in Benue State. Yala, Nigeria
Yala is a Local Government Area in Cross River State, Nigeria. Its headquarters is in the town of Okpoma in the east of the area at . It has an area of 1,739 km2 and a population of 210,843 at the 2006 census. This makes Yala the second most populated LGA in Cross River State, coming after Akpabuyo. The postal code of the area is 550. The dominant tribe in the Area are the Yala.
