Offa (nickname for Wulf) is a semi-legendary king of the Angles in the genealogy of the kings of Mercia presented in the ''Anglo-Saxon Chronicle''. He is the son of Wermund and the father of Angeltheow. His name is also mentioned in the Old English poem ''Widsith''. November 22, 1980 Brisbane, California) was a Danish jazz musician who emigrated to the United States in 1947 to play drums in the big bands of Harry James, Tommy Dorsey, and Claude Thornhill, recording with Elvis Presley, Henry Mancini, and others. Uffe Manich Bech (; born 13 January 1993) is a Danish professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Midfielder#Winger, winger. Youth career His career started in Hellerup IK, where he at the age of 13 switched to Lyngby Boldklub. Uffe Elbæk (born 15 June 1954) is a Danish politician, social worker, author, journalist, entrepreneur. In 2013 he founded the green political party The Alternative, which he led until February 2020. He is an independent member of the Folketing. From 3 October 2011 to December 2012, he served as the Danish Minister of Culture. He was originally a member of the Danish Social Liberal Party, but left in September 2013 to launch The Alternative with Josephine Fock. Elbæk announced on 16 December 2019 that he would stand down as political leader of The Alternative on 1 February 2020. Uffe Ellemann-Jensen (, informal: ; 1 November 1941 – 18 June 2022) was a Danish politician who served as Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark in the Conservative-led Poul Schlüter Administration from 1982 to 1993. He was leader of the Danish Liberal Party Venstre from 1984 to 1998 and President of the European Liberals 1995–2000. In 1998 Ellemann-Jensen founded Baltic Development Forum, a non-profit networking organisation dedicated to the business development of the Baltic Sea region. Uffe Valentin Haagerup (19 December 1949 – 5 July 2015) was a mathematician from Denmark. Biography Uffe Haagerup was born in Kolding, but grew up on the island of Funen, in the small town of Fåborg. The field of mathematics had his interest from early on, encouraged and inspired by his older brother. In fourth grade Uffe was doing trigonometric and logarithmic calculations. He graduated as a student from Svendborg Gymnasium in 1968, whereupon he relocated to Copenhagen and immediately began his studies of mathematics and physics at the University of Copenhagen, again inspired by his older brother who also studied the same subjects at the same university. Uffe Eskild Markussen (born September 19, 1952, Frederikshavn) is a Danish jazz reedist, who plays primarily tenor saxophone and bass clarinet. Markussen was a student at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and played in his early career with an ensemble called Tømmermændene. He co-founded groups with Jorgen Emborg, Jens Winther, and Marilyn Mazur in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and worked with other groups such as Blast, Instant Breakfast, and Santa Cruz. In 1985 he began playing in Niels Jorgen Steen's group A-Team, and founded the six-piece ensemble Orbit the following year. In 1989 he began playing with the Radioens Big Band and in 1991 with Avantgarden Party. In recent years, he has become known for querying the scientific consensus regarding the lipid hypothesis. Early career Ravnskov was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and received his medical doctorate from the University of Copenhagen in 1961.
