Udon Thani Football Club (Thai: สโมสรฟุตบอลจังหวัดอุดรธานี) is a Thai professional association football club based in Udon Thani province. Founded in 1999, the club currently competes in the Thai League 2. History Early years The team was founded in 1999 by the first chairman, Sathaporn Kotabut, and joined the Thailand Provincial League or Pro League in 1999. They competed in this league until 2004. Their best season was a 4th-place finish in their inaugural campaign. The club did not participate in the League from 2005 to 2008. In 2009 the club made a comeback and joined AIS Regional League Division 2 North Eastern region, with new chairman, Mr.Pongsart Kitjanukorn, and they finished the season in 3rd place. The Thai FA Cup 2009 ( th, มูลนิธิไทยคม เอฟเอคัพ) was the 16th season of Thailand knockout football competition. The competition started on 27 June 2009 and concluded with the Final on 21 October 2009. It was the first time the competition was held in 8 years. 2009 Regional League Division 2 North Eastern Region ( th, ลีกภูมิภาค ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ or ไทยลีกดิวิชัน 2 ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ) is the 3rd Level League in Thailand. In 2009, contains 12 clubs from North Eastern region. The league winners qualify for the end of season Regional Championships with the other four league winners in the Regional setup. Ubon United FC withdrew from the league after playing 16 games, due to a dispute with the Thailand Football Association (FAT). All results were declared null and void. Ubon were also given a 2-year ban from competing. The league table was re-adjusted accordingly, after FAT previously thought about awarding 2-0 victories for the remaining games. The League Cup ( th, ไทยลีกคัพ) is a football cup competition in Thailand. It is also known as Toyota League Cup for sponsorship reasons. It was re-formed during the 2010 domestic football league season in Thailand and runs along the same lines as the Thai FA Cup except that the earlier rounds would be regional rather than an open draw. Final Format Thai League Cup is open to all members of the Football Association of Thailand and Thai League 1 and is divided into eight rounds; the remaining Thai League teams enter at the first round. The Thai FA Cup ( th, ไทยเอฟเอคัพ), known officially as The Football Association of Thailand Cup, is a football cup competition in Thailand. Thai FA Cup is an annual knockout association football competition in men's domestic football. It was held between 1974 and 1999 and relaunched in 2009. Raj Vithi won the first two editions. Regional League Division 2
Thai League 4 ( th, ไทยลีก 4), commonly known as the T4, was the fourth level association football league in Thailand. In 2009, it was divided into five groups by geographic region. Each group contained 16 clubs except for the Southern Region group which contained 13 clubs. It was sponsored by AIS and therefore officially known as the AIS Regional League Division 2. In 2016, Khor Royal Cup became a trophy for Regional League Division 2. In 2017, Football Association of Thailand rebranded the league to Thai League 4.
