Udo Klug
Udo Klug (21 July 1928 – 3 October 2000) was a German football midfielder and later manager. Career As a player Udo Klug was initially active as a midfielder for FSV Frankfurt, among others. Between 1945 and 1947 he played at least 18 times for FSV in the Oberliga Süd. After his transfer to local rivals Rödelheimer FC in 1947, he played for them only once in the Oberliga. Later he was still active with SpVgg Bad Homburg, now as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. With this club he reached the final of the German Amateur Football Championship in 1955, which the Bad Homburg team lost 5-0 to Sportfreunde Siegen. He was a goalkeeper for the club. As a coach As a coach, he worked for SV Darmstadt 98, Kickers Offenbach (also manager), 1. FC Nürnberg and FC 08 Homburg in the Bundesliga, 1. and 2. FSV Frankfurt
Fußballsportverein Frankfurt 1899 e.V., commonly known as simply FSV Frankfurt, is a German association football club based in the Bornheim district of Frankfurt am Main, Hesse and founded in 1899. FSV Frankfurt also fielded a rather successful women's team, which was disbanded in 2006. History The club was one of the founding members of the Nordkreis-Liga in 1909, when football started to become more organised in Southern Germany. With the outbreak of the First World War in 1914, this league came to a halt but a championship for the region was still held, which ''FSV'' won in 1917. Regionalliga Süd (1963–1974)
The Regionalliga Süd was the second-highest level of the German football league system. It existed in the south of West Germany from 1963 until the formation of the 2. Bundesliga in 1974. It covered the three states of Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Hesse. Overview The league started out in 1963 with 20 clubs which were reduced for the next season to 19. From 1965 to 1974, there were always 18 teams in the league, except in 1972 when another season of 19 clubs was played. It was formed from the eleven clubs of the Oberliga Süd which did not get admitted to the new Bundesliga and from the top nine clubs of the 2. Oberliga Süd. Eintracht Trier
SV Eintracht Trier 05 is a German association football club based in Trier, Rhineland-Palatinate. It was formed on 11 March 1948 out of the merger of Westmark 05 Trier and Eintracht Trier 06, on the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of predecessor Trier Fußball Club 05. The team badge incorporates Trier's most famous landmark, the Porta Nigra, an ancient Roman city gate still standing in Germany's oldest city. In the 2020-21 season the team was in 1st place in the Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz/Saar, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic the season was cut short. The 1982 DFB-Pokal Final decided the winner of the 1981–82 DFB-Pokal, the 39th season of Germany's knockout football cup competition. It was played on 1 May 1982 at the Waldstadion in Frankfurt. Bayern Munich won the match 4–2 against 1. FC Nürnberg, to claim their 6th cup title. The Austrian Reinhold Hintermaier opened the scoring for underdogs Nürnberg after 30 minutes with a shot from about 40 meters away, before Werner Dreßel doubled ''Der Club''s lead just prior to halftime. However, Bayern stormed back from the halftime deficit. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge got a goal back for ''Die Roten'' in the 54th minute, before Wolfgang Kraus scored the equalising goal in the 65th minute.
